Yesterday I had to put my sweet baby boy down. Pedro was 18 years(ish). We had rescued him 5 years ago and he seriously was the best dog anyone could of asked for. I never knew how hard it was to put a dog down, I was a blubbering mess at the vets office.

I am so sorry for your loss. Putting a dog down is like losing a member of the family. It's so hard but try to remember the good times you had with Pedro and hopefully that will make your heart feel a little better.

i'm so very sorry for your loss! i had no idea dogs could live that long, he must have really loved being with you to stick around that long. i'm sure it took a lot of love and strength to help him rest in peace. you and your family will be in my thoughts, hugs to you all!

The vet staff has seen it all, it's hard to see someone so sad over their pet, but I've always appreciated knowing that pet was loved so much, it's the exact reason I went into this field.

That has to be one of the hardest things to do, I'm so sorry Our dogs are such important parts of our lives, it sometimes seems unfair that we will inevitably outlive them. Big hugs!
