Hey cold weather bees. I'm leaving 80+ weather for a cool/ cold high 40s and low 50s city. I plan to wear pant suits during the day and imagine the sun will be out so the weather may be nice. I have sweaters with camisoles for the evening. Should I pack a jacket (mine is 3/4 sleeve, cowl neck style) or a light wool winter coat.
Please let me know.

40s can be pretty chilly. You probably don't need a winter coat, but I'd pack some sort of fall-esque jacket or maybe a thick sweater.

I would bring at least a jacket if not a coat. It gets really cold at night when the high during the day is only in the 40's

I would want a full on coat for 40's, and I'm used to cold weather.

40's is cold! winter jacket cold...esp if you are used to warm weather, it can be hard to acclimate. at night, it'll be even colder. bring a coat!

@yoursilverlining: @SleepyMonkey: I'll switch to a coat. New question: if a coat is required am I going to freeze in my boat shoes?. I planned to wear them with socks. I don't want to bring my tall boots because they're bulky. I either have low top chucks or boat shoes as my closed toe options
