Did your DH just show up for present opening, the whole shower, or not at all? For my wedding shower, he came for presents at the end and was kind of overwhelmed with all of the ladies/ present-opening lol .. but he should be there for part of it right?? It's at his parent's house!

At the end for presents. He was pretty overwhelmed too

For family ones he came at the end of me opening gifts, and he helped load them up in the car and was able to say hi to everyone.

Yep - he dropped me off and popped in to say hi for a couple minutes before escaping the crazy

He came toward the end of gift opening.

I would just have him come about 15 minutes before everything is done. He doesnt need to be there for the enture opening thing.

DH came later with my dad. They ate food and packed up the car with the gifts.

Hubs didn't show up at mine at all!
Other showers I've been to, the father-to-be's just showed up at the very end to help bring gifts home and say hi to people.

Mine will b a lady's only! He will probably show up right at the end to help get gifts into the car. He is having his own "dad shower". Mostly a beer and diaper party. Lol

DH showed up at the end for gifts. We also did a name reveal via a big wrapped box of balloons that he had painted with DD's name.

He came at the very end to load presents into the car. It was held at his parents' house, too. He came over before the shower started to rescue his dad from the festivities... I think they went to the local watering hole with some of the other husbands.

Yeah, I think making an appearance at the very end is better than opening all of the presents with me...

DH actually came at the beginning. It was brunch, so he stayed and greeted people, thanked them for coming, had a bite and left. He also brought our oldest son (my bonus son) with him, so that he could be at some of the shower too and not have to miss out on the celebration

No, I excused him from my baby shower and he was so glad. I didn't end up opening presents at my shower and we got to open them together.

@MCD919: He said he was more comfortable being there as people were coming in, rather than walking into a huge room of woman, and feeling overwhelmed. Plus he then did get to chit chat a little bit with everyone.

I haven't had Mine yet but I'm sure it'll be the same as my bridal shower - He'll drop me off and come in to say hi, then come at the end to pack up presents.

Not at all, he went to brunch with the guys. He dropped me off and picked me up, but made a very hasty exit... I tried to drag him down with me, but he wasn't having it.

for both wedding and baby showers we've done guys just show up in the last 15 minutes to say hi and help load - so not really there for gift opening. my DH actually did not come to my baby shower at all, it was a plane flight away near where I grew up and we decided it wasn't worth the money for him to show up for 15 minutes (but his dad and my brother both did come for the end, since my sister-in-law and mother-in-law both came to the shower). basically I think it works fine either way.

We had a coed wedding shower and I was hoping for the same as a baby shower -- I really prefer them. However, it's going to be ladies only, and I'm still not sure if DH will make an appearance or not. Maybe he'll drop me off and say hi, then pick me up and chat a bit then.

Ours will likely be like @cascademom: with FIL and DH coming at the end to say hello and do all the lifting and loading of gifts. He may have a diaper keg, too, like @Danizaur: mentioned. His family loves beer, and babies, so I'm sure it will be well attended.

Nope. Mine was a plane ride away at my mom's. But even if it was where we lived he wouldn't of come.
