    @mediagirl: That was Peter Quinn... he's the CIA analyst that Estes put in charge of the operation to monitor Brody. Turned out he's a "soldier" with possible black ops experience and that Estes had ordered him to eliminate Brody as soon as Nazir was confirmed as dead.

    @winniebee: I don't think Brody could ever hurt his own kids... maybe on some level, she trusts him that far at least. That said, I'm sure she's gonna clean him out in the divorce!

    @winniebee: I think she already knows that he is a terrorist. She just can't bare to hear the words come out of his mouth, I guess. So glad that they are over. Oh yeah, I also laughed when she said that he must really, really love Carrie. Ha!

    @mrbee: That's the perfect explanation!

    @Andrea: I agree that she already knows. She keeps talking about how she just wants him to tell the truth and he won't. She's waiting for him to come clean, but doesn't want to hear it at the same time.

    @winniebee: just watched the SNL skit. LOL! I like how they made fun of her bulletin board and the jazz. Is it too easy to make fun of a bipolar person listening to jazz, though?

    @BabyBear: she can't handle anything! Like when she found out that he was a Muslim...ack, OH NO!

  7. BabyBear

    apricot / 321 posts

    @Andrea: "Oh, you just came back home after being tortured and captured for 8 years? YOU'RE A MUSLIM?! You disgust me..." Ugh. I really hope that doesn't happen often in real life.

    I think Brody changing religions was a shock on two levels: 1) he changed religions, and wasn't the same religion he was when they met and fell in love and 2) he didn't tell her.

    If he had told her, I think she would've been surprised but handled it a lot better!

    @BabyBear: @mrbee: In regards to the changing religions, I think she was also totally thrown that he converted to the religion of his torturers. It's also possible that she has a very narrow viewpoint and is associating all Muslims with terrorists, and so the fact that her husband would convert to that shocked and appalled her.

    @mrbee: HAHA that's a funny comparison, I never liked AJ either.

    AH I'm so glad you all watch the show! It's probably my fav on TV right now. Does anyone have a super crush on Mike? I think I do solely because of his haircut, haha.

    And Saul is the best. I've loved him (Mandy Patinkin) in everything I've seen him in. Criminal Minds? Yup.

    @Adira: I think she is narrow minded and would have never taken the news well?

    @smocks: I have a crush on Saul. Is that weird? He is just so great.

    @Adira: I understand that. It just seems so unsupportive though. I'm sure it's shocking.

    @smocks: Criminal Minds! DH didn't recognize him with the full beard.

    @mrbee: what are we going to do after the season finale? I'll have to stalk him elsewhere.

    @Andrea: Um, huge crush on Saul here! If he turns out to be the mole, I will be devastated. But I don't honestly see that happening.

    Dana and Chris annoy the crap out of me, also. There was another tv show that had a character on it who constantly scowled and squinted his/her eyes like Dana and I hated that character, too. Wish I could remember what show that was....

    I actually kind of like Jess, though. I feel for her, I guess. I mean, she's moved on with her life, allowed herself to fall for someone else, then suddenly - BAM - she has to re-readjust everything for a husband who she feels like she doesn't know and she can't communicate with. It's gotta be hard. I kind of imagine that's how a lot of military wives feels when their husbands get home from a tour. So I kind of find her interesting. Although it does drive me CRAZY that she calls him by his last name.

    They just can't kill off Brody. I don't know where the show would go without him.

    @Andrea: we could rent The Princess Bride and all watch it on the same day?

    @mrbee: Kim Bauer - uuuuuuuuuuugh.

    @mrbee: Ha ha ha ha, no, but that was hysterical. I love the commenters getting all preachy about making fun of the actress.

    @littlebug: they did have a point about her being really young!

    @Andrea: @BabyBear: Oh, I agree! I was pretty upset with Jessica during that scene - she was NOT handling the changes in Brody well AT ALL!

    This is a great Q&A with the Homeland showrunners:
    http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/14/your-homeland-questions-answered/

    @winniebee: Thought you might appreciate this particular Q&A!

    Q. Why would Nick Brody’s wife always call him by his last name? — mivogo, New York City

    A. MR. GORDON: It’s something that’s been in their relationship from the very beginning and speaks to the love between them. We’ve heard from many military families, and it’s not that uncommon a practice.
