I never had it happen to me. 1 person touched it without me inviting it first and I knew her and she asked me.

I do think it's an invasion though. You don't just touch people you dont know. It's wrong.

This is cool, but sad that there has to be a specific law for people to understand that you can't randomly grope strangers.

I like it! I freaked out silently in my head whenever someone touched me when I was pregnant. I said something to someone ONCE, and she acted like I mortally offended HER. lol

I've never had a stranger touch my belly, thank goodness. And the people that do (friends/coworkers) always ask. But why do strangers think it's okay to just randomly touch someone's belly because they're pregnant? Creepy.

I've never had a stranger do it, unless you count my new coworker who has only been there two weeks! Other than that, the only person who has touched my belly is one of my employees that has been with me for two years. It didn't really bother me with her because I know that she is just super excited for me. But the new coworker doing it was kind of awkward.

@Mae: good point. I would want the person charged under battery and not the anti-bump groping.

@mrbee: most people think of battery as hitting, but it's actually defined as any harmful or offensive touching (some states now classify this as assault, but the historical definition of assault is putting someone in fear of bodily harm while battery involved actual physical contact). Under that definition, groping is battery just the same as smacking someone with a baseball bat is. In reality, though, different states have different rules and definitions about it.

I don't really get why there has to be a specific law for this. You can't go around touching people when they don't want you to, period.. Or at least I thought...
