I don't think that's anything to worry about - if the top number falls below 90 or the bottom number falls below 60, that's what they technically consider low blood pressure but it generally doesn't become a problem until it falls far below that.

I'm nearly 36 weeks now and I've had ridiculously low blood pressure throughout pregnancy. At the start of my second trimester, it was 80/40, which was a bit worrisome but they said just to keep fluids up and it should be fine - and it was. Since then, it's hovered around around 85/50 to 90/55, which they haven't been concerned about at all. At my last appointment (35 weeks), it was 100/54 and they were really pleased with that.

Bottom line - keep your fluids up and eat regularly and it should be fine. If you're really concerned, I'd ask your doctor at what point they would be worried about it but 98/62 doesn't sound overly concerning.

ETA: How far along are you? Blood pressure typically falls in the second trimester before rising again in the third, so if you're in the second tri now, that would explain why it's gone down a bit. They say the top number usually falls by 10 - 15 and the bottom number by 5 - 10 at this point in pregnancy.

I have always had low blood pressure and it got a little lower throughout my pregnancy. It's typically a good thing if it's low rather than high, but if you're not feeling good, definitely talk to your doctor.

I passed out last week from low BP and called me doctor after. She said not to worry, this was normal and we'd just keep an eye on it. So I am thinking a random lower reading is no cause for alarm. Also, keep in mind that readings can be way, way off....

I have naturally low blood pressure. The docs are not worried about it at all. I'd say if you start to get tired or light headed, just sit down and drink some water, grab a bite to eat and that should definitely help bring things back up again.
