@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I'm going through a similar issue at the moment. LO will be here next month and I'm not 100% sold on the name we've picked for her. We had 2 boys names picked out that I was totally in love with and since we found out she's a she it's been so tough coming up with names!

@illumina: we are the opposite but in the same boat. We had girls names we loved and no boy names. Now that we know lo is a boy we've come up with a name but I never would have picked it on my own. I'm hoping it grows on me.

We were TG and loved all of our girl name choices (we had trouble narrowing the girl list down to under 3 names!) I wasn't super in love with our son's name (especially his middle) but they're both family names, Evan(s) would have been in there somehow anyway (big family name, important to DH to pass it on) and it was one of the few names that met all of our naming criteria. It's a perfectly nice name and I do like it but it doesn't give me the warm flutter that some other names did.

I loved DS's name and it took a bit for DH to get on board, he definitely settled. But he loves it now.
We never had a girl name, so we were lucky we didn't need one. I think we would've settled for one we just liked, not loved.

@ladybee: I hope they grow on us both
Though I swore it would never happen, I think LO is going to be a nameless baby for a week or so after she's born while we're still trying to figure it out!!

I love their names. They also both have a meaning, and as far as we can tell, they very much suit their personalities.

We're team green. I love our girl name, I proposed it and DH wasn't thrilled with it at first but seems to have really come around to it (it made me so happy when he just randomly said the other day, "you know, I really like the name [girl name], I'm glad we chose it"). He came up with the boy name and I like it but don't love it...unfortunately it seems like he is also having second thoughts about it. His top choice boy name is truly hideous, though, and there's no way I'd ever in a million years agree to it, and I think he might just be still annoyed about that. It was SO HARD to come up with names that fit our specific requirements, though, and particularly the boy names, that I just can't imagine starting all over again. Here's hoping we either a) have a girl, or b) both end up happy with the boy name we've picked...

We both love both! Which is awesome since Ellie was pre-Mr. T. But it took us forever to find a name for Lorelei. Mr. T was fine but "meh" with just about every name I (or he) suggested. We had a boy name we both loved that was to honor his best friend who passed away in his 20s, but we couldn't find a girl name to save our lives. We were tentatively set on Clara until he and Ellie found the name Lorelei in a Ramona book they were reading. He came running to find me with a huge grin on his face because he liked the name so much, and I loved it, too. So there you have it. Don't get worried yet, I bet you can find a name you both love!

Love DS's name.
We don't find out the sex of baby 2 for 2 more weeks. I can't even think about names until I know what it is. I have a feeling it's going to be more if a battle this time around.

DH loved the name, I wasnt in love with it at first but I love it now. We basically agreed he would name the first child and I would name the 2nd

I loved S's first name...settled for her middle name.
I love DS's middle name, but settled for his first name, lol Now he's all grown into it, though, I can't imagine him with any other name.

I was very meh about B's name when I was pregnant. Now that he is here, I love it. It suits him perfectly.

We loved E's name before we had her. Then when we had her...it felt weird. Weird that it was her name. Took me a bit to warm back up to it and now it suits her perfectly. I guess i just had trouble putting a face to it once the face was HERE
You have time!

I settled on our baby name of Ethan. We decided LO's name after he was born. It was on our shortlist. It's taken me some time to come around to it. Part of it was that out of all of the names we had picked out, he didn't look like my brother's name or the other ones we thought about. I love it now, but it took some adjusting over time to see my LO as an Ethan.

We both loved M's name from the start. I worry that I'll have to settle in the future because I'll never love another name as much! We've never found a boy name we agree on, so if we have a boy in the future hopefully something comes to us.

I love the name Ethan! If we had a boy, it was a serious contender except for the fact that it's my friend's son's name. Now a very close friend is naming her new baby Ethan
As for my DD's name, I kind of settled. I like it, I think it's pretty, but I can't shake the original name I picked out way back when DH and I were just friends. But we didn't want a namesake and I'm happy with our choice
