12 weeks with #2. I look much, much further along as the day progresses. This is first thing in the morning. I got called out by some friends this past weekend.

12 weeks! And I've lost about 12 lbs, if you can believe it. Since I started out overweight they don't want me to gain more than around 15... So far so good.

@mrsrain: you look great! have they put you on a special diet? My dr has not restricted my gain but I did ask how "little" I could gain without getting in trouble bc I started out about 15-20lbs over my ideal weight. She recommended I needed to gain at least 20lbs - but as long as the baby was measuring fine I would be ok. I had a terrible first tri (awful nausea only cured by dreaded carbs) and am already up 7lbs - hoping to stay here for a while!

@Mrs D: thanks! Vecause my BMI was over 30, midwife wants me to gain around 15 (she did say a little more is ok). For now they are giving me small goals to work towards, such as only gaining 5 lbs by week 20. Thankfully they are also giving me nutrition information. I've been pretty sick, so weight hasn't been an issue yet, and as I feel better I'm going to try keeping a journal.
My first pregnancy I was a lot like you, just a little overweight. Nobody was too worried. I did great until the end when I gained a lot very quickly (about 45 total). I lost all but 20lbs before getting pregnant again. At the end of the day the most important thing is a healthy baby, and even overweight mamas can make that happen!

12w2d I've been in denial that other people might notice my belly growing, but my co-worker told me she could tell today.

@sassymama34: no kidding! I'm down about 8 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I guess I'm losing more fat than the baby is growing! Crazy!

@sassymama34: @mrsrain: me too! I'm down 5 pounds and starting to finally get a bump (although it disappears when I sleep and looks almost nonexistent in the morning) once I eat food and am up for a few hours, bump city makes an appearance!
I'm following my same pattern as my last pregnancy so far. I didn't start gaining until 20 weeks, then gained 36 pounds!!!

@Alivoo01: I'm at a super awkward point, my maternity clothes look schlumpy but my normal clothes don't fit. It takes me SO LONG to pick clothes every day.

@Alivoo01: Yeah same as last time I tend to look 'thicker' rather than 'bumpier' for a long time! I keep waiting for the cute bumps I see here

@mrsrain: omg you're feeling movement??? So jealous! Is this your first or second? With my first I didn't feel anything until like 22 weeks Am 15 weeks tomorrow and I can't wait to feel movement!
I'll have to post a bump shot soon. Everybody's is so cute!

@MrsLilybugg: this is my second. With my first I felt the first movements at 16 weeks. Apparently you are likely to feel movement several weeks earlier with number two, so you will prob feel it soon!

@mrsrain: @MrsLilybugg: I felt my first during week 19, my second during week 15, and I'm in week 18 with #3 and still don't feel anything that is DEFINITELY baby. I really think it just depends.

@Navy_Mommy: interesting! I think placenta placement can affect how much you feel, too.

I know I just posted the other day, but I wanted to share my 15 week picture because I LOVE how it turned out. It was super easy to do.
Just set your phone facing a light source (window), set the timer, stand where you want to, and then I cropped and edited the photo on my phone (Galaxy S5) to the vintage effect.

@Loscato: love this! I took one similarly in my first pregnancy, totally by accident... It's one of my favs!
