Eh, it's a toss up, but I found the newborn fatigue to be a more comfortable kind of exhaustion by far.

3rd trimester (as I sit here 33 weeks pregnant with #2). I get horrible insomnia in the 3rd trimester. I'm lucky if I get 4hrs of sleep! I still have to go to work full time and take care of my 3yr old. I also had prodromal labor for 3 weeks before my due date last time (contractions 5min apart that didn't get closer together or increase in intensity).
When I'm not pregnant I can fall asleep really easily so with a newborn, anytime he was asleep I was asleep even if it was 30 min and a newborn I could also pass on to my husband to catch a nap. If I got 6hrs of sleep in 24hrs (even if it was in 30-1hr increments) I was a functioning human.

@MrsSRS: yes to comfortable! So nice to move on from the giant awkward belly.
@ModernDayJibarita: you’re getting close!! Pregnant with a toddler is next level hard. Hope you get to sleep soon!
