@caterw: our toilet is that way too. One of them is way worse than the other and it has permanent lines. Our water isn't great. We don't even drink it. So I know that's the issue.

@SweetiePie: Get a splat mat!! It's not perfect but it helps a lot.
I hate doing the dishes but for some reason unloading the dishwasher pisses me off even more.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Good to know it's not just me!! I have tried so many different types of cleaners and nothing works- I have even considered getting those weird little tabs that turn the water blue because it bothers me so much. It only takes 5 minutes to scrub two toilets that are on a single floor but ewwwwwwww.

Cleaning dd's humidifier. It needs to be done weekly to keep from getting mildewy and we've all had colds since the dawn of time (since starting daycare) so it really helps her sleep but it's so impossible to scrub those tiny corners and drives the perfectionist in me crazy. I'm pregnant and ended up crying last time because I couldn't get to one spot - DH has now permanently taken that task over and I've moved on to hating unloading the dishwasher.

@emilye519: I would totally cry over something like that pregnant. That's when we finally got a cleaner. I think I was crying because I couldn't reach to clean the tub properly and the baby was going to go in it (never mind that my toddler already took baths in there...)
@caterw: @Mrs. Sunshine: our toilets are that way too- we get a pink line, faster sometimes than others. It will also build up even in the sink. It's something in the water or pipes. I still drink the water though...

@Foodnerd81: ours is well water with a lot of rust deposits. We drink it sometimes if we have to (I do cook with it though) but it doesn't taste great and it's hard for me to drink enough because of its taste. Our shower is usually orange and only stays clean for about a day

Cleaning the toilet. Especially all of the hair that gathers behind where the seat is. Seriously how does SO much hair collect there?!
Oh and kitchen floors. I always dread when it rains because we have 2 dogs, and we let them out in the backyard, and of course right by the back door it's muddy. They are generally pretty good and getting their paws wiped, but not 100%......ugh. I never have a clean floor.

@Mrs. Sunshine: our well water is terrible (we have a rust producing bacteria) and we installed an iron curtain and its life changing!

@emilye519: Oooh that's a good one. We use it in the winter only but I HATE it.

@Mrs. Sunshine: @caterw: Try the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner that comes in the black label bottle. It works wonders for removing rust, lime and mineral deposits.

Sweeping & mopping.... our downstairs is nearly all hardwood or tile & it takes forEVER to sweep it all. Mopping is faster, but on the rare occasion it gets done right after sweeping, I'm so annoyed by that point. Then it gets dirty again within hours, so I feel like it was such a waste of time.

@gotkimchi: I've not heard of an iron curtain. We share a well with DH's parents but I'll look into it. They might be down for it if we offer to pay.

@Mrs. Sunshine: it's a filtration system that removes iron, sulfur and manganese. It stopped our rust 100%. Before it stained our tubs, toilets and turned my hair pink

Putting away laundry and mopping are on the top of my annoying tasks list!

Washing dishes. We don't have a dishwasher and I feel like we constantly have dishes in our sink.

Hands-down: dishes. Our old apartment had no dishwasher, so I bought a counter-top one and didn't get as much out of it as I hoped for. We moved into this new apartment with a full-size dishwasher and what do you know? Our sink is still full of dishes. And then you have to practically wash them before putting them in the dishwasher so they come out looking clean.
Is it bad that I can hardly wait till I have kids old enough to pawn off all the chores I hate the most?

I hate cleaning toilets and vacuuming, but we like to keep our floors immaculate. It is so much work. We just bought a top-of-the-line roomba 10 days ago, so that takes care of part of it! I was reluctant to spend the money until we got quotes from cleaning companies; roomba comes out way cheaper than a year's worth of cleaning visits.
