is that one and the same? i swear my mucus plug came out like sunday evening or monday morning.... now i'm spotting a bit now (left message for doctor)... and wondering if that's the "bloody show".... unless it's one and the same and i'm just spotting.

My mucus plug looked like a giant snot. Then one night later, I had like, bloody snot. So, *I* think they're different...But I'm not entirely sure.

@Rubies: hahaha exactly. well tmi, the one i woke up to monday did look like a gigantic slimy snot string or something and today, just looks like some light spotting - but not sure if i saw mucus.....

I think they're different... My mucus plug looked like my vagina blew its nose, and it came 3 weeks before I went into labor. My bloody show came right before my water broke and it looked like bloody snot.

I think they are different. It would make sense to lose your mucus plug and now perhaps your bloody show is starting?

Hmm, I was just at our 'delivery' class and they said that some people call it a mucus plug and some people call it the 'show'. So, according to that class, they are the same thing.

I never saw or noticed anything- hence I was completely unprepared when my water broke!
Looking back I was having slight contractions the day before I just didn't realize it. I noticed some mucus, but I thought it was just discharge... -
oh my!!!!! I never saw my mucus plug or any bloody show, just a tiny chunk of blood when I wiped, but I pretty much already knew I was in labor because of the contractions. eeeee!!!! twinsies are coming...!!!

They were separate for me... first some mucus-y stuff one day, and then while in labor, more mucus-y stuff, and then bloody mucus-y stuff. I was 12+ hrs into labor at that point, I think.

Turns out it is different.... Doctor wanted me to get admitted to check things down there. Still kinda bloody.... I'm not in labor so that's good news.... No change in dilation. Omg the check was so painful!

My plug looked kind of like a greenish brown booger. Lol. About a week later I had discharge with blood specks in it.

WTEWYE says they are different things--the mucus plug can come out weeks before. The bloody show usually comes with just a pink tint as you efface and dilate.

From one twin mother to another good luck and congrats. New born twins can be overwhelming but just remember to take deep breaths and enjoy them. Twins are an exciting adventure!! Try not to worry or be scared c sections arent that bad. I'm sure you will do great!
