Have you ever fallen asleep at work?

Oh yes. Sometimes if I'm super tired I will close the door and nap. Other times I have caught myself dozing off at my desk. If that happens I usually go and walk around the office and get a cup of tea.

I've dozed off when I was pregnant. That's why I told my boss so early (6 weeks), I didn't want her to come in and I'd be asleep at my desk.

I recently have during my lunch break, but I'm also pregnant. Who knew I'd learn to love those power naps!

During pregnancy I've occasionally booked a conference room for a power nap, and I don't regret it.

I did when I used to be on call for night shift in high school. I was allowed to though.

Just now. Pregnant and had a really stressful morning. Love having that private office.

Yes, while pregnant with DS. I was working weird hours and a couple of times I locked myself in a bathroom and napped sitting on the floor. Kind of gross, but I couldn't stay awake any more!

Uh yeah! One time a customer caught me napping in their parking lot. I totally denied it!

@mediagirl: Yes, several times! If I have to leave my office in my car, and I get back in what I think was good time, then I will nap in my car for even just 10 minutes in the parking garage! And when my no one is around my office, sometimes I put my head down and set my alarm! I just like sleep!!

I napped in my car during my planning period in my first trimester.

Yep. My office is so quiet, in the back of the building, and that 2:00pm crash hits hard. I've only actually dozed while pregnant though!

No, but when I was pregnant I had very detailed daydreams about it.

We have napping rooms at work cheers to using it daily during the first trimester!

I fell asleep on the way to a site visit while my boss was driving. Praying I didn't snore. First trimester fatigue is real!

Yes, accidentally a few times, and some purposeful car naps. I've done it pregnant and non pregnant.

Pregnant: yes. I worked at an agency as a counselor. Brought in a pillow and blanket and took naps on the floor during down time. Also fell asleep on the toilet once.
Non pregnant: now in private practice, with a couch in my office. Client no shows? Snooze time.

I'm a teacher, so nope! (Though there was a teacher in elementary school who used to nap every day when we had recess)

@Chuckles: same here although there were rumors of a teacher who used to go to the library to take naps

@jhd: I mean, I guess if you really wanted you could nap during a prep period (if you have them) but usually there are a jillion things to do then that relaxing would be impossible

I'm a teacher and due to extreme first trimester fatigue and now some sciatica here and there, I purchased a camping cot and set it up in my "back room." Since there are no cabinets, closets, or storage options in my teaching room, instead, I have a "back room" that is about 8ft by 12ft. I've rested on the cot a couple times during lunch. One of the other teachers takes power naps during his prep period / lunch, since they're back to back. But he sleeps in the back area of the lounge and I just couldn't do public sleeping like that.

@Chuckles: yes I also never found my prep time to be relaxing
@DesertDreams88: that's a creative way to get in a rest during school! I agree I would not be able to sleep in a faculty lounge like that!

Yeah - in my first trimester I've napped in my car and booked a conference room. And once I had a cold and took some cold medicine (not while pregnant) and had a crazy reaction to it - I was super wired and hyper for about an hour and then completely crashed. I was so wiped out I lay down under my desk and fell asleep. Luckily I had an office with a door back then.

@Mamaof2: ha! I wanted a nap so badly yesterday. I considered curling up in a ball under my desk but we work in an old building where there have been cockroach sightings so, no.
But when I was 22 and working at one of my first professional jobs, I totally got busted for falling asleep in a dark control room where I was pretending to read email.
