So i have been trying to hold off on buying new clothes because i have no sense of how fast my bump will grow and when i will need to switch to maternity clothes (i'm 11 weeks tomorrow). But I noticed Loft has some elastic band skirts out this season that I thought might be perfect to get me through the summer! I wear skirts every day, and have noticed almost all of my skirts zip up to my belly button, which will soon be impossible to wear (i am not showing yet).
SO, advice from those who are or have been more pregnant than I am, do you think a regular (nonmaternity) elastic band skirt will be comfortable during the 2nd tri? and might enable me to skip buying maternity skirts this summer? It will be fall during my 3rd tri so i'll buy maternity pants when it gets cooler.
I should mention, I'm petite, and i usually wear XS petite or even XXS petite in their clothes. I was thinking of ordering some S size elastic band skirts to give me some breathing room. Also, they are 40% off right now, so there's that
Is this a waste of $? Or do you think a skirt with an elastic band would be comfortable during your 2nd tri?
I can't believe i just wrote such a novel about my skirt problem...but i wanted to get advice from you guys before pulling the trigger - i hate wasting $ on clothes i won't be able to wear in a few weeks!
