So I just realized last night that I didn't get a call from the obgyn last week; which means that I passed by 1 hour GD test! YAY!
(This is the common practice at my doc's office)
But, of course, a part of me just wants to call and confirm!
I did ok with the "no call is good news" rule with all of our other blood tests/genetic screenings; but this one is a stickler! I guess I"ll just get the confirm next week at my checkup~
Was this the general rule with your doc or mw?

No news is always good news in my book.... but my doctor always called me to tell me either way. I would call just to make sure.

All of my results get posted online, so there is no waiting around for phone calls with my office. There is no way I'd be able to not call, if I hadn't heard anything. I'm sure no news is good news, but no news could also mean "oh hey, I lost your paperwork"...so I'd call. But maybe I am just paranoid/nontrusting of office interworkings.

@mrsjyw I specifically asked my doc if they would call me either way, or only with bad news. They told me only with bad news. Unfortunately I got a call.
So yay! Sounds like you're in the clear. Call if you're worried though.

@travelingbrit: I'm in the Dallas area (my doctor/hospital is in Frisco). Every test/exam/blood draw/prescription/health diagnosis is available for me to look at 24/7 via their online secure site. And anytime a new result is posted, I get an automated phone call and an e-mail. It is awesome.

My clinic also follows the no news is good news, luckily for me I found out my glucose results the same day, they did them in office with a finger poke, that one would have been hard for me to wait on!

Most doctor's (human and pet) office has the no call is good news rule. But if I want to know I just call anyway to double check. Sometimes you just never know! My friend's new puppy had a parasite that was contagious and his file fell off their table between a crack and her puppy had played with my dog which means my dog could have contracted that parasite as well! We were both furious at that vet office that we both left that practice.

Same as @highwire & @autumnlove - test results are all posted online, and I get an email notification letting me know they're ready.

No news is good news! My OB did a phone line you could call with your patient number for your results, too.

My OB has the no call is good news too I think. But after my last pap they said they would send a post card with the results and I never got anything and with my blood tests they said they would call and tell me my levels but I had to call them.

Yep, our practice is always no call is good news. Though we have access to our test results on-line, so I can always check stuff if I'm worried.
