For awhile I wasn't gaining any weight and was concerned about that. Well, ask and ye shall receive. (Or, overeat, and ye shall gain plenty of weight). I've gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks....now, at 24 weeks, I'm up 14 lbs! Ok, let's slow down with the gain. One of my pairs of maternity pants are too tight!!! I think my bum has grown as much as my belly lately : /

I am at about 21-22 pounds and at the start of week 31 ... 9 more weeks to go ... Im dreading the scale now

@JustlikeHeaven: You are right on track for 30, so that's good! I am hoping to keep it under 30. There is no reason why I shouldn't be able to...I'm only 5'2!! I figure if I slow down and get my pigging out under control, I can still gain a pound a week and be under 30 lbs.

@winniebee: I'm 5'2 as well and have gained 18 pounds and I'm at 33 weeks. I'm trying to stay on track and not gain more than 25 pounds!

@winniebee: I had that problem at first. I felt like my butt was growing faster than my belly. I'm sure you're coming along just fine. As long as your OB or Midwife is cool with how your weight gain is going, you should be fine!
I'm not sure where I'm at right now but at 18 weeks, I had gained 17lbs. I go back in on Thursday, so I'll know then how much more I have gained. I'm not too worried right now because I'm not feeling fat. I don't really watch what I'm eating and I don't do the scale at home, but I do watch my body. I did feel like my butt was growing faster than my belly for a while there but now things have evened out and the belly is the only thing growing, that I can see/feel for now.

Well, I was really hoping for 25 lbs - I have a weight gain calculator thing for pregnancy and it still says I am on track for about 25 lbs....but I don't want to put too much pressure on myself. Have been out of control w/ eating the past few weekends so I'm going to just try to rein that in and hope that I adjust back to my other pace of gain.

@mediagirl: My OB/midwife was happy with my 10 lbs at 22 weeks. Haha, but in 2 wks, I gained 4 lbs (or, so says the scale at the gym). My stomach is getting pretty huge and baby is now starting to gain (he's over a pound now!) so I'm trying not to beat myself up over it. I just have been overindulging waaaay too much lately and I think if I stop doing that I'll feel better.

@winniebee: I'm sure you're doing fine! It sure sounds like you're right where you should be for weight gain. It's weird but this is the one time in my life I'm not worried about gaining weight. Hope you can keep yourself from worrying about it!!

haha i was pretty worried because i haven't gained any weight in like 2-3 weeks. but saw babies today and they say they measure at 4+ pounds and they're looking good, so phew! i feel better!

I've gained 19 pounds at week 25! I was hoping to gain no more than 30lbs, but at the rate I'm going, looks like I'm gonna exceed that.

I have read online (thanks Dr. Google) that the peak of most women's weight gain is weeks 20-30....so for those of us that have packed it on lately and are in those weeks, that should be comforting!

I was overweight before I got pregnant, so I lost about 8 lbs during my 1st trimester. From month 3 to month 4, I gained 4 lbs... now I'm pretty sure I'll be gaining like crazy because I can't stop eating. Ask you and shall receive is right!

I'm 5 and a bit weeks pregnant at the moment and although I'm not throwing up yet I'm feeling pretty average and unfortunately constant eating is about the only thing that makes me feel better.
I'm really worried I'm going to pile on the pounds over the next little while so I 'm going to have to try really hard not to let my eating get away on me.

Don't feel bad and don't get too stressed about it. I didn't pig out at all and even though I'm only 5' I still gained 40lbs.
