First, love the title of this thread. Second, that is a wonderful nnursery

Second on the rug, I could totally design a room just around that rug!

My nursery is gender neutral and I had an elephant theme going on.

Mine isn't as chic as the nursery you posted but we have some animal/safari prints....

I think Dana from House Tweaking used that rug in her living room. I love it. We are thinking of using it in the new house somewhere. I hadn't thought of the nursery...hmmm.
Eta: here is her post. http://www.housetweaking.com/2013/05/13/puppies-rainbows/

@petunia354: Oh, I have a question! How are your monitors staying on the crib? Do you have them glued/taped down or anything?
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@petunia354: oooh I think yours is pretty chic...love that wall!

I have that rug in our room! I love it but its like having another dog it sheds something fierce.

@Adira: Right now they are just sitting on the ledge o f the crib because he can't grab them yet but we are definitely going to need to come up with a better option when he can stand up!! Maybe some of that command tape that is supposed to not leave a mark on your furniture?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@petunia354: Ahh, okay! I thought about putting mine there, but Xander's favorite thing to do at the moment is lift his legs up and them SLAM them down onto the mattress as hard as he can! He shakes the whole damn crib! So currently mine is on the bookcase and I have to look through the crib slats to see him, which is annoying.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
@Adira: Yeah I can totally see how that would be annoying. I've often thought about getting a small shelf or corbel with a flat top, mounting it on the wall and putting the monitor on that so it would be out of his reach.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@petunia354: I thought about doing that too, and I might still do that! Though I guess I'm making do looking through the slats, haha.

@petunia354: beautiful! I love the wallpaper on one wall and the shades.
@oliviaoblivia: funny you say that--I think the rug is pretty and must feel nice under foot, but my first thought was how I would have to ban my dog from the nursery. Between her shedding and bringing in little bits of red mud every now and then, it would be ruined in no time!

@petunia354: those are gingiber prints! love her!
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: love it! the gallery wall with arrows is very neat. I have a thing for arrows lately.

@Adira: Love your rocking chair! DH is insistent on having an old school rocking chair - no glider or anything.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@LindsayInNY: Thank you! I love that it's both black AND cherry colored, so it can match anything! My parents got it for me for Christmas and it's made in the USA!

I love a good excuse to show off my nursery. Mine is gender neutral w/ touches of safari animals.

@petunia354: Great job on the stenciled wall! And *high five* for having the same prints.

@mrskc: I LOVE the baskets with the elephant tags!! I need those in my life.

I think I just like that room!!!! ETA not JUST the room but that's that stands out.

@mrskc: That is really nice!! Love the elephants on the baskets too!

@petunia354: Love! That wallpaper is amazing. I love the light streaming in, too!
eta: oh, I see it was stenciled now. Awesome!

@Adira: I am loving the turquoise accent.
@mrskc: @petunia354: I remember these great prints from another HB post. My obsession gender neutral animal theme are Shaton Montrose's animal pics, but there are so many artistic ways to incorporate animals. How did you choose? I like the ones you have and there's a group of water colors I like too.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Thanks!!! it's Behr's Mermaid Treasure (don't tell Xander!).

So pretty! I love gender neutral nurseries!
@petunia354:That wall is amazing!!! How did you like doing the stenciling?
@Adira: I love the turquoise accent! What a pretty room!
@mrskc: I love those prints!
We have a gender neutral safari theme too (mostly elephants and monkeys). I don't have any pics to share though as I haven't even gotten around to actually finish everything... This good motivation for me to maybe finish up my diy projects and get things together in there!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Honestly, I think I saw @MrsKC post about her nursery reveal and loved those prints so much I decided to just copy her I had been on the hunt for something neutral like that since we were team green and they were perfect for what I was looking for. I am such a follower

@dojo: I hated the stenciling, like HATED it. I was pregnant when I did it and it was so uncomfortable to use that stupid stencil. Many tears were shed, and I threatened to just paint over the whole thing multiple times. But DH told me to keep going and I'm so grateful for that because we absolutely love the finished product. We are probably going to move soon and the thought of leaving that wall behind makes me want to cry.
persimmon / 1223 posts
@petunia354: that is so impressive that you were able to do that while pregnant! Haha I saw some stencil ideas I liked and thought there is no way I would have the energy to do that! That's too bad that you will have to leave all that hard work behind!

@petunia354: I love your glider, where did you get it? I'm currently on the hunt for one but haven't found the right one for us yet.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
@Redmini1: I *think* this is the chair. Its huuuge and probably way to big for DS's tiny little room, but I don't regret it because it is like sitting on a cloud. Highly recommend
