@Charm54: aww so cute! Glad everything went well! So are you officially September now? (Don't leave us though!)
@bluestriped bee: so sorry you are feeling so nauseaus still! I hope your doc prescribes you something that works soon!
@jodyblair: so happy your US went great!! My SCH looked like a small black circle on the ultrasound screen, close to the baby.

@NovBaby1112: technically Sept 29? But he said since it wasn't a full weeks difference he will keep it Oct 3. Which is good because I'm a bridesmaid on Sept 19 in a wedding 3 hours away! So the later the better
Here's a pic of my little jellybean!

@Leialou: yay for feeling better! I have major food aversions too...I can't even think about maple syrup without gagging (just typing that made me queasy!)
@bluestriped bee: I'm sorry you're still sick I hope you're able to get a prescription that works!
@jodyblair: that's great news!! Yay!

@charm54: Aww!!! So sweet! I love the nt scan when they are little enough to see the whole baby but then you can definitely make out hands and fingers. Glad your ultrasound went well, and hope you stick with us in October.
@jodyblair: Glad your ultrasound went well!!
@Leialou: Hang in there! Getting a bump seems like a good sign!

@jodyblair: yay for a great appt!
T-3 hours til my appt, fingers crossed everything is ok.

@jodyblair: @Charm54: Yay for good appointments!
@hilsy85: I'll be thinking about you this afternoon and hoping everything is going great!
My nausea has let up in the past few days. But now I can't sleep. I literally toss and turn 90 percent of the night so I'm exhausted with a constant headache. Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight.
We also planned a weekend away, just the two of us, when I'll be 16 weeks. We're not going far but we're headed to Savannah and I'm pretty excited.

@jodyblair: We went for our honeymoon and loved it. We have less time this time but because we've been, I think we'll be able to relax more!

Gah I'm still with you m/s ladies. My constipation finally let up, and last night I spent most of the night on the toilet. TMI but when I pushed to poop, I threw up.
I can barely eat or keep anything down. I have my big appt tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to do the ultrasound since I can barely drink, so how am I going to be able to have a full bladder.
I've been working from bed for the last two days. Vacillating between nausea, vomitting, pooping, and being freezing cold. I know I'm super dehydrated. I honestly hope they give me an IV tomorrow.

@babybronco: Hope they give you an IV!
So I spoke to my RE they are going to give me a new med that is a suppository! Woohoo! No more throwing up after I take pills! They also suggested I come in for an IV. I don't think I'm severely dehydrated yet but I might be getting there. I have always been bad at staying hydrated pre-baby. I think I might schedule something today or tomorrow.

Had a great first appt! Baby was measuring exactly on track at 7w6d and had a hb of 167. Everything looked great! I'm so relieved We are also going to do the Panorama genetic test, which I am happy about--I go back in about 2 weeks for that, and my OB said I can make an appt for a quick u/s if I want to so that will be nice
next appt is 4/2 for my 12 week appt, and I also need to schedule our NT scan at the Imaging Center. All in all, everything went great

@bluestriped bee: Yay for a new med! The IV probably can't hurt.

@birdofafeather: @2littlepumpkins: @jodyblair: @BelugaBean: @NovBaby1112: @Leialou: thanks ladies!! It's starting to feel a little more real (especially since I am DEFINITELY already getting a little bump at night especially--makes me worried what I will look like in a month!).

@hilsy85: popping in to say I'm so happy it all went well. That first ultrasound after a miscarriage is terrifying. So glad you got good news this time.

Wow I'm sorry so many people are having terrible morning sickness!! I hope you start feeling better soon ladies!! I have found having several small meals instead of 3 large ones made a difference in my nausea. My biggest symptom is falling asleep SUPER early... always wanting a nap! And of course sore tata's.
Just had my 8w visit yesterday and everything looked good!! Heartbeat was 150bpm and I got to hear it this time!!!!! I was so happy and relieved everything was ok. I could still see the second sac but it was still very tiny and stayed the same as last week and he said it could take awhile for it to completely absorb. Only 1 more week at the fertility clinic and then they are graduating me to my regular OB! Everything is starting to feel real!!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: seems high, but within the range of normal! And what a great pic!
@Tidybee: thank you! It was totally terrifying...hopefully I'll be more relaxed my next appt.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: What a great pic! Looks like s/he has their arms behind their head, one leg over the other, whistling away. Adorable!
My first big appt is in about 2 hrs. Which means I need to get out of bed and shower. Fingers crossed for an iv and some good drugs. I had salmonella when I was 21, that's how I feel right now. ugh.
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@natalie403: sounds like a great appointment! Isn't it awesome hearing the heartbeat?
@Rainbow Sprinkles: wow great pic! Looks like a baby and not just a small blob! I think that heart rate seems normal...mine was 173 at my 9 week appt. when will you find out what you are having??
@babybronco: good luck today! Hopefully you feel better very soon!

It was great to actually see my doctor today. Saw the heart flutter! That really choked up my husband (then he made the mistake of looking at the speculum when my doctor did my pap and nearly joined me in vomit-land).
Doc loaded me up with diclegis (sp?) samples. Praying that it helps. I've been so sick I haven't been able to take my prenatals either.
I'm measuring a little less than we thought. Put me at 7w2d and new due date of 10/20. Very close to DHs birthday.

Got my appointment with the genetic specialist. My RE couldn't answer questions I had (really??) so I go Monday for some blood work and information (mostly questions about Tay Sachs). We shall see...I know they have to give you every bad scenario possible.
squash / 13764 posts
@babycanuck: good luck! Have you been screened for anything prior? I had a genetic panel done pre pregnancy (I'm have ashkenazi jewish heritage) and am a carrier for Tay sachs...luckily DH is not!
pomegranate / 3105 posts
@hilsy85: TBH I don't know what the RE tested for. She said the karotyping and everything else for both DH and I were good, but I'm non-immune to Fifth's Disease (??). I only questioned Tay Sachs because I'm Jewish. DH is not, and I checked with my sister (she has 3 kids) - she was not a carrier but my BIL (who isn't Jewish but had a Jewish great-grandmother) was a carrier of the juvenile tay sachs gene, and they knew kids in his family had it at some point. The geneticist said they will test me for it Monday before moving forward with any tests for DH.

@babycanuck: @hilsy85: We told my OB yesterday we wanted to test for EVERYTHING. Mainly bc we are paranoid.
squash / 13764 posts
@babybronco: are you getting one of the DNS screening tests done in addition to bloodwork?
cherry / 126 posts
@hilsy85: Everything. bloodwork was done yesterday. Then there are like 4 more between now and due date. Something cool where they check for the fold behind the ear? I've been too sick to read all the material he gave us.
Day 1 of diclegis worked great until about 11:30 am.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@babybronco: Ugh! Sorry diclegis isn't working for you.
I was miserable on zofran. I'm on phenodoz (phenergen) and it is a Class C medication. I asked both my RE and OB and they say they prescribe it to their patients. My OB said they are more concerned with Class D and Class Z medications.
Phenergan is working. Though, it does make me super tired during the day. I had to take a nap yesterday at work to get through the day. Today I kept eating so that helped. Oh, I'm suppose to take phenergan every 6 hours but so far, I'm good with only 1 dose per day! Either the medication works that well, or my m/s is going away. I have been getting daily emails and I think at 8 weeks, the placenta is starting to grow and so it is suppose to absorb some or all of the hormone release. I'm hoping this is a sign that my m/s will be over soon.
Oh, I did get an IV on Wednesday afternoon. I felt so much better afterwards.
cherry / 126 posts
@bluestriped bee: I didn't get an IV.. i wanted one so bad! I think the diclegis takes a couple of days. Plus on Day 3 you can add another dose and day 4 you can add a 4th if necessary (I'm guessing it will be).
Come on placenta! suck up those hormones for all of us.
grapefruit / 4066 posts
@babycanuck: good luck with the bloodwork!
@babybronco: @bluestriped bee: sorry you're both dealing with such awful morning sickness!
Speaking of bloodwork, I'm a lite confused about why my OBs office is having me get bloodwork done in 2 weeks, then have my NT scan/ultrasound at 12 weeks, and then get the Verifi or harmony test then too. It just seems strange to me bc isn't the early blood genetic test the most accurate? I don't really get why they would still do the whole 12 week bloodwork + Ultrasound. Is anyone else having both done?? Not really complaining bc I'm excited for another US, but just wondering if this is normal.
