I really should know this as a second time mom but I'm asking for reassurance. I got out of the car earlier and had one severe, sharp cramp on my right side that lasted for about 5-10 seconds. I'm 11 weeks pregnant. I've had a few mild cramps on the same side since then. It's just my uterus expanding, right?

I remember similar feelings. Especially just on one particular side!

I've felt that before too. As long as the sharp pain doesn't persist and you don't see any bleeding you should be okay.

I remember having a sharp pain that caused me to cry out and sit down. Probably normal! I know it's hard not to worry.

Yep, probably just round ligament pain.

Yup, I still get them in the third tri. Enough to stop me in my tracks!

I had those around that time. I remember being worried about them, but all was well

I have been getting them occasionally (especially after I move quickly) and I am 12w4d

You've had an ultrasound already to rule out ectopic right?
That was my OB's only concern when I had similar pains. I did have a cyst and they said it could have been due to the cyst or from RLP>

I definitely had those. It was nerve-wracking, but it was just my uterus expanding.

I got round ligament pain like that really early on, as well.

@T.H.O.U.: yes, I've had 3 ultrasounds already.
Two at the RE and one at the OB.

You should be fine! I never had really bad pain but this nurse that calls me told me not to worry if I had shooting pains.

I get them every time I stand up too fast....I think it is normal

Yeah I got those from 11 weeks and a few days later I could feel my fundus so it was obviously just my uterus rising

Was just texting my BFF about similar pains yesterday--she agreed with other posters about round ligament pain!

I had that twice today. Once it almost made me pass out it hurt so bad. So annoying!
