I totally agree!! I never get heartburn unless I'm pregnant. At least it means a full head of hair for baby... did Mavrick have lots of hair?

I won't miss getting sick every time I brush my teeth or the constant bathroom runs!

I was just thinking about this this morning....angling my body to the left to wipe after peeing!
The incessant constant rib cage pain.

@mrs. wagon: I have more heartburn this time around, but did have some for Mavrick as well (but he didn't have much hair) so I don't know if it's really true.

@blushink: I completely agree! The heartburn has been SO awful lately and I still have 4+ weeks to go!

I heard you get heartburn if your LO has lots of hair! My LO was very hairless and I had very little heartburn.
Glad it's almost over!

I will be glad when the nasal congestion goes away ... It has been constant since the 2nd trimester. Oh, and I also can't wait for the nausea to go away, I am still on anti-emetics and I am 38 weeks!

@chopsuey119: Well a girl I work with said she had INTENSE heartburn and her baby had NO HAIR. So I don't know if its very true.

@MsMini: I agree with the congestion!
Luckily I haven't had any heartburn - maybe it's because I'm tall so there's more room for the baby to hang out?

I had so much heartburn and my baby had a ton of hair! I definitely don't miss frequent bathroom trips and the heartburn!

I haven't had a lot of heartburn really, but I've had problems with reflux and those horrible acidy burps. I burped last night just as i drifting off to sleep and choked on it, awesome.
I'm also so looking forward to not having to pee three times a night.

Being able to lay down or get up from the floor without it being a huge production.

@MsMini: i forgot how this congestion isn't my normal--i got it mid 1st tri. i've gotten used to it, but will be thrilled when it's over
the heartburn and burning hands--those i can't wait to get rid of!

@Goldilocks1107: I wish being tall meant no heartburn...I've also had it consistently since the 2nd trimester.
Heartburn, reflux, and pelvic pain that makes it so I can't roll over in my sleep. I will not miss any of those things!

Ohh the burping!!! I can't wait for it to stop. And I frequently throw up a little in my mouth from the reflux. So not fun!

@duckduckkristen: me too--- but i count that as part of heartburn soon to be gone!!

Oh and the back pain. Seriously it ain't normal. I feel like I'll be paralyzed so much it hurts.
pomegranate / 3388 posts
SO many things that I don't miss about being pregnant! Luckily I didn't have much heartburn, but I don't miss the 9 months of nausea that I experienced. Also don't miss the constant bladder pressure, the hip and back pain, and not being able to bend over to pick things up off the floor.
One thing I do miss though... the SLEEP!! Pregnant sleep might suck, but sleep with a newborn sucks way worse.

This may not be true, but I've heard that if you get heartburn when laying down, try to elevate the head of your bed 2-3 inches with blocks under the legs. I don't know if it would work, but it might be easy to try.

I won't miss puke being my primary topic of conversation. (Apples are evil coming up.)
