We never told anyone I was in labor and didn't allow anyone to visit until well after DS was born. Our parents were the only ones and they knew better than to post on FB.

@grizz: Same. Delivered, had plenty of new family time, and then the family was able to come visit. After that was all over, then we spread the word.
DH's fam had JUST had an aunt do this to a cousin (birthdate, name, stats, all of it) and I felt so bad for the mama. Apparently, I'm a bit more mean, because no one even tried that with us.
