So my job ends (by choice) at the end of this month. Baby isn't due until end of March. I'm excited to have the time to rest and prepare, but trying to think about what else to spend my time doing.
Have you been in a similar situation? Any suggestions for inexpensive things to do for two months?

I was in a similar situation due to the timing of my pregnancy and a move. I did all my Christmas shopping planning and crafting in summer so I didn't have to worry about it come winter. I also volunteered a lot and did lots of mystery shopping!

My friend was in a similar situation. She took the time to organize her life, take some classes that she wouldn’t have time for after the baby arrived (like a 3 week photography course & some cooking classes) and stock her freezer. She probably had the easiest few months out of any other new mother that I know because she had the time to really prepare.

No advice, I am just jealous!! I am sure you are going to love not being at work when we get so big at the end. I am dreading it!
I would say volunteer somewhere but it would have to be someplace you aren't on your feet. Organize the whole house and clean, clean.

haha I did a loooot of cleaning. I stopped working at 37 weeks, so not as much time, but yeah. the house had never been more organized or clean!

Can you do some volunteer work? Take a short term class? Visit any family or friends? Explore a new hobby?

I was a SAH preggo and once all the baby prep was done I just tried to relax and enjoy the time to myself since I knew it would be a loooong time before I ever had that much free time again! Enjoy it!
Oh and I cooked a lot of soups and froze them to eat after baby was born.

@Smurfette: I had been volunteering at the children's museum but so much of it is on my feet, running around. I think I'll see if they have any other posts that aren't so intense.
@MaisyMay: Maybe I'll finally learn how to use my sewing machine!
