Guys I am so exhausted and I'm only 19 weeks. Work has been fine, life has not (DH had surgery, a sinus infection, and a totaled car crash in the past 3 weeks), and one toddler. I don't think it's the life stuff, I think it's my blood issues. When will it get better?

My iron & platelets are low, like they were with my last pregnancy. I don't know my iron stats - I'll find out on Wednesday. My platelets are about 120,000 which isn't a big issue just yet. My dr put me on iron supplements (like 300% of daily needs) and I take them with Vit C halfway through the day, about 6 hours out from my prenatals. It's been 3 weeks of supplements & I'm still dragging despite getting 8-9 hours of sleep a day (not always in a chunk, sometimes LO wakes at night and sometimes I take naps).

If you had anemia and/or low platelets during pregnancy, did it create fatigue?? Any tips for handling this? All I want to do is lay down all the time, but teaching doesn't allow that nor does my toddler.

ETA: I eat 2-3 servings of fortified cereal a day too, but no meat. Changing my diet is a non-starter. All my stats have been good throughout my life (lots of bloodwork every 1-2 yrs); only issue is iron & platelets in pregnancy. Also I drink tons of water, 80+ oz a day.
