I sure understand what others were talking about now.
I swear I have become totally absent minded and have a hard time coming up with the simplest words while pregnant. I'm praying this goes away post pregnancy because it has been killing me the past couple of days!!
Did you have "pregnancy brain" when you were pregnant? Do you believe in such a thing?

I absolutely do! I was terrified it would strike while interviewing for jobs at 30 weeks but fortunately it was only once that I had issues coming up with a word.
The sucky thing is, it doesn't go away at delivery! It lingers for a while - must be something to do with the hormones.

I didn't become forgetful, but my powers of perception were totally off. I am usually very aware of people and their behaviors, but while pregnant, some things totally surprised me.
I don't think I have mommy brain now though. My focus is different, that's all.

I am still fighting short-term memory issues (I am 21 weeks), so I write everything down at work (which is not too noticeable because I have always kept a white board in my office). I have also had problems with depth perception, i.e., reaching for a glass and either (a) making contact with it before I though I would be making contact with it, or (b) not making contact with the glass at the time I thought I would be able to touch the glass.

I didn't really have pregnancy brain but I sure have Mommy Brain. I can't remember what I've told people or what people tell me. But I sure do remember how many diapers I've changed every day and how long LO's naps are!

I have it already and I'm only almost 17 weeks in, I am so absent minded and confuse the easiest details! Make work a little more challenging, but I'm giving my coworkers a good laugh (they both went through it last year!)
