Does anyone else get pregnancy congestion the whole time? Did you find anything that helps?
Mine isn't too bad but I'm so sick of waking up every morning with a gross stuffy nose and winter in the desert is not helping at all!

OMG it was my least favorite part about being pregnant!! Every night I would go to bed and not be able to breathe!! I hated it.... and I felt like a jerk complaining about it when my friends were having morning or all day sickness... but not being able to breathe through my nose for 10 months was not fun....
I used vicks vapo rub to help me at bedtime. But it still sucked.
Good luck, hope it goes away for you.

Ugh, I’m sorry, I had it both times and disliked it. I ended up using a Neti pot often, which helped a bit.

I'm currently dealing with this. No great solutions yet, but I'm happy to hear I'm not alone!

Delivery was the only thing that helped. I had it with my first starting around 25 weeks. I was miserable. Nothing helped. As soon as he was born I could breathe again.

@Ajsmommy: Vicks might be worth trying. Thanks! And I hear you I have pretty manageable symptoms so try not to complain, but it's just so annoying!
@LemonJack: neti pots freak me out
@Lahela017: it's the worst!
@lioneyes: weirdly it doesn't cause me to snore. It's just annoying
@KT326: it's one of my first symptoms and I had it all the way through with my daughter so I feel you

@MamaBear87: aw man. I'm so sorry you have to deal with it for so long. Thankfully I didn't have it with my second.

I had congestion and a bloody nose THE ENTIRE TIME. I’d have to sleep with a towel over my pillow. Our bodies are so weird during pregnancy!

Breath Right strips helped me too- I wasn’t snoring (usually, that I know of) but hey just helped open up my nose so I could breath. I also used a Neti pot type thing- My is a squeezey bottle that you gently squirt into your nose instead of the pot, same idea. And a humidifier at night will probably help.
I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a bloody nose before the end of my first pregnancy. Then I got a horrific one a week before the baby was born, and ever since I get them occasionally in the winter. Like it just got cold here this week and I had a nose bleed while feeding my kids lunch today. Fun.

@annem1990: so glad I at least don't get bloody noses, at least not so far. There's so many crappy things they don't tell you about pregnancy
@Foodnerd81: I'm hesitant to use the breathe right strips because I tend to be sensitive to adhesive. I think I'll take being stuffy over having a rash nose

I had a bad cold when I had I had my second. They wanted to give me Sudafed but that’s not supposed to be good for nursing. They ended up giving me guaifenesin. It’s the ingredient in mucinex, but I think mucinex has other stuff in it too. It worked well, didn’t make me sleepy or prevent sleeping so when I have a bad cold it’s my go to now, just finding it in the medicine aisle where it’s the sole active ingredient.

i had it the whole time both pregnancies and hated it. sometimes i would put tiger balm under my nose. it was super intense and made my eyes water, and wasn't great for my skin, but sometimes i would get desperate enough that just having my nose feel clear for 5 minutes was worth it.
