I try to eat as much as possible. I'm always worried about pesticides on fruits and veggies mostly.

No. It's great if I do, but I don't go out of my way to eat organic. Making healthier choices overall is more important than just eating organic. Plus, I can't change my family's budget just because I'm pregnant.

We buy organic meat and produce and some dairy (eggs and milk) but have for awhile have it's not a pregnancy related thing.

nope. if I bought all organic, I wouldn't be able to pay my bills. I figure non-organic strawberries are better than no strawberries.
eta: I do buy organic, or all-natural, meats because I'm just paranoid about recalls and other stuff. the brand turkey I purchase hasn't had a recall, and was on the consumer reports list of best brands so I just stick with it! lol.

I try to, yes. Just fruits and veggies, mostly...and sometimes I can't be sure with farmer's market produce.

Not always but I try to make it a priority with fruits and veggies with thinner skin - ie apples, berries, peaches, etc and eggs. I don't eat meat anyway and drink almond milk.

We do what we can, pre and during pregnancy but we're not super strict about it.

I sure did! And I still do. Pasture eggs, dairy, dirty dozen fruits and veggies and meat. Not only pesticides but hormones and antibiotics... Honestly, pasture meat and eggs have higher nutrients as well. Local farmers that aren't certified organic can be more affordable and have the same values (minus the cert.). We also belong to a coop that has good sales and discounts.

I'm being pretty mindful of organics, but I was doing that before pregnancy. I also try to get grass-fed/pastured products. Way higher in vitamin and nutrient contents. I'm definitely looking to up those fat soluble vitamins.

I'm sticking with eating habits from before--organic milk and mainly the "dirty dozen" for produce. We also try to buy free range eggs and locally farmed meat, but it can be $$ and requires planning ahead.

@Greentea: Yeah I find that farmers market organic produce can be SO affordable!

Yep! I try to eat as much organic as possible anyways (before being preggo). We try to focus on buying/eating organic meat, dairy products, and produce.

Yes, yesterday my husband and I hit up Fresh Market. We loaded up on organic veggies, fruits, and grass fed beef, antibiotic chicken, and wild caught seafood. Besides the proteins (meats) I doubt we will use Fresh Market for a big shop again. The store simply didn't have all the items I wanted. Next time we will check out Whole Foods and see what our local butcher has in terms of organic meat & seafood.

I was when TTC and when I first got pregnant, but then I had so many food aversions in the first trimester I ended up just eating anything that I could stomach.
Now that my appetite is back to normal I'm hoping to go back to more organic and non-processed foods.

Yes, but I ate organic fruits and veggies prior to pregnancy as well as meat without antibiotics/ growth hormones so I am still doing it. But I am not a stickler, if there is an organic option I will always go for it but if not it won't keep me from eating it.
