I'm sure many of you are dealing with or have had to deal with reflux during pregnancy. What did you do to make it better? DH is reluctant to raise the bed a few inches. I keep nagging him about it, so we'll see what happens.

Ahhh it's horrible isn't it! I've been taking zantac since my sixth week of pregnancy, as well as gaviscon when needed as it's got a soothing property that numbs it as it goes down. Can you get them where you are? Other tips are don't eat veg/fruit on their own, only ever with a protein, don't have citrus, don't drink with a meal (20 minutes before or after is best) and prop yourself up with pillows in bed so if it comes up while you're asleep it shouldn't make you choke like has happened to me a few times. These are all tips from my doctor and they all help. Hope you feel better soon : )

@highwire: I read somewhere that taking tums for pregnancy heartburn was like peeing on a bush fire, lol. Do they really help you?

I had really bad reflux during my first trimester, but just had to wait it out Tums didn't really help me, unfortunately. Ugh, sorry you're going through it! Hopefully it goes away soon?
On a positive note - old wives' tale says that lots of heartburn = baby with tons of hair?

I got some Zantac and some more pillows. Luckily I don't really have heartburn, just the reflux. We'll see how it goes!

Try crystallized ginger. It doesn't work for a long time but it works long enough for me to get to sleep.

@Running Elley: have you ever tried drinking vinegar or making a paste of water and baking soda?

I had terrible reflux when I was pregnant with DS. I had a prescription for Zantac. I didn't take it every day though. I just took it when I felt it coming on. Also, @anonysquire's suggestion works. I would drink a little pickle juice if I was in a pinch.
