When you had subsequent pregnancies, did the bowling ball in the vagina feeling start much earlier? I'm only 34 weeks but I swear it feels like this kid is half way down the birth canal.....

Lol. Can't comment because my pregnancies were too different, but I appreciate the wording. Bowling ball. Gave me my first real smile all evening. Thanks!

Didn't have that feeling at all with either of my first two pregnancies and haven't yet felt it at 28 weeks with my third. Mine haven't dropped before their births though.

I'm only 30 weeks and he feel very heavy in my pelvis for sure. Don't remember that with #1

I didn't ever feel the bowling ball but I was definitely dilated earlier. With my first I was 4cm dilated after week 30. With baby 2, I was dilated at like 28 weeks. And I had my second a week earlier than my first.

I never felt that with my first but I definitely felt it with my second. I kept telling my husband that it felt like and arm was about to just pop out.

@MrsSRS: glad I could give you a laugh
@anonysquire: I have my first cervical check next Monday at 35 weeks so I'll find out then if I'm actually dilating. My first was born on her due date so if I went exactly a week earlier I'm good with that. But my first LO's bday is 9 days before my due date (which happens to be Thanksgiving Day this year) so I'm really hoping to make it past then!!

I don't think I ever had that with my first. This one I think has just finally turned head down at 33.5 weeks so before this, definitely no bowling ball. But the overall I'm huge and just done being pregnant hit much earlier.

@Foodnerd81: ugh me too. I've already gained as much weight as I did on the day I delivered my daughter. Which is only 18lbs so I'm still on track to gain in the aimed for range, but God, I feel HUGE. Today a coworker told me "you look exhausted, the pregnancy must be starting to catch up with you." I refrained from throat punching him only because he is generally a lovely human.

@Truth Bombs: I've gained more than I did on the day I delivered and now I'm in the home stretch where you gain even more. But I think it's partly because I weighed 20 lbs less when I got pregnant this time. Also partly because I cannot control my sweet tooth...

@blackbird: thank you! This is the type of response I was expecting

I also had GI stuff that likely contributed but I had pressure from the second trimester on and a very low baby! I was miserable.
Eta, and up until my last appointment at just about 39w I was completely closed. But delivered at 39+2.

@Truth Bombs: looks like we are about a week apart, and yep I feel like i'm smuggling anvils in my birth canal. my midwife commented twice that the baby is quite low already, i'm feeling hiccups in my butt at the moment.

@FannyMae: haha! Hiccups in your butt!
I'm 37 weeks along with lo2, and I only just started feeling the baby in my groin. At least I can breathe now!

YESSS...I guess I carried both girls pretty low, but the pressure on my bladder was so intense. And yes, it started earlier the second time. But 35ish weeks, I could only walk about a block before dying from the pee feeling.
Good news was I never had the breathing problems some preggos have.

@Truth Bombs: yes! I'm 34w4d with #3 and I literally feel like the baby is going to just fall out any minute. I don't remember this feeling with my other two. I'm not sure if I'll have a cervical check this week, but keep us posted on whether you've made any progress.

@Truth Bombs: @sometimesshesings: The first time I felt them that low I had to stop a minute and think about what I was feeling. Am I gassy? Is that the baby? WTF KID thats my butt! I've had varicose veins in the vaginal area and the extra baby pressure now is not pleasant at all. Even though baby is low, I still have something (feet? bum?) wedged up under my left ribs most of the day.
