@Mamaof2: yes I do BUT I only knew these shorts would work because I was able to try them on in store. Our store had a pretty good selection of bathing suit pieces to pick from.

@mediagirl: yeah I looked and didn't find a store near me - I hate ordering and returning

@blackbird: i have that red one in a different pattern. It's my husband's favorite. He has begged me not to throw it away this summer. But its getting old so i might just have to get a new one.

I have this striped bikini from VS, but I also have a solid black tankini top and this skirted bottom from Kohl's that I mix and match with the bikini. Wearing a little more coverage on the top or bottom helps me feel less naked

I'm loving this one but i'm concerned its too trendy so i think i'm going to keep looking

@Reese: is it wrong that I *pictured* you in a garbage bag eating chocolate and thought. . . HAWT!
Imma wear mah regular bikinis . . . got lucky with no stretch marks and things are almost back to pre-pg state, give or take a little . . . like the two chocolate chunk cookies from Chik Fil A that I just had for breakfast. *sigh*
But seriously, I need to lighten up on myself a little. AND SO DO THE REST OF YOU ALREADY!

@Mrs. High Heels: I love that!!! Where did you get it???
I'll be wearing this, but with a slight different skirt bottom. And my top is a dark purple and the skirt is black.

@hotchild, i wish i could try it on! It looks like one of those that would look awesome! I went for some pattern/color, though, since it's so hard to get colorful and fun stuff in my size!
I like that rainbow fringe one. Sure, trendy, but asos isn't too expensive usually! And i love rainbow anything

@MsLipGloss: I had a chocolate croissant from Starbucks, so at least you're in good company, right? We've got plenty of time to work it off between now and June 21!

@Reese: I legit LOLed at your comment! I'm with ya!
@Sammyfab: Are the bottoms ruffled?! I like those!
@blackbird: Ditto on the last one! Love the print!

I just ordered this swimsuit and shorts from Land's End - here's hoping they fit!

@lawbee11: Yep! The only thing I worried about while eating the cookies was getting any chocolate crumbs on my clothes!
Here is my new motto: GUILT . . . AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO THAT!!

I got this one last summer from J.Crew. I'll be sticking with that from here on out, I think.

I think just my bikinis from last year.. But I'm not sure these bfing boobs will fit. I should look into that!

@Sammyfab: I LOVE that top. I have the ruched hipkini bottoms in pink to go with my other suit so I may order that top in the same pink and I can use the same bottoms but different tops

I have two halter tankini tops--one black with a white ruffle at the neckline and one polka dot--that I wear interchangably with two different tie-side bottoms that are black and a black and white print.
The tops are kind of like this. But picture it on a much bustier, older woman who weighs about 30 lbs more than this 16 year old.

Ugh. I'm dreading swimsuit season! I've never worn a one piece but I'm going to do the world a favor and not rock my regular bikinis this year. I might look into the J. Crew one pieces, they're pretty cute!

@LindsayInNY: yes! they're ruffled in the back (along your bum crease) too...which sounds weird and slightly uncomfortable, but I like it because I have a smaller, non-existent butt!
@lawbee11: the top is super flattering. I mix and match all of my bikinis.

@Sammyfab: Ohh, eek, might not be good for my over-squatted butt, LOL!
pomegranate / 3383 posts
@LindsayInNY: an over-squatted butt deserves to be shown off!! I can't wait to get back to heavy squatting to make my butt bigger!

@Sammyfab: I told DH it's either a saggy butt or bigger and not saggy! Now, tell that to my clothes that don't fit...

@Adira: @whenoceansrise: yes, from anthro! They have other designs to choose from too. It's a nice, thick material and I like that the "shorts" part hid my thighs pretty well.

Sort of odd, but after searching EVERYWHERE last year, the best fitting ones I found were at Walmart of all places! They make a halter-top tankini that has just the slightest bit of flare and a really supportive top and you can pick hipsters or a generously cut bottom to match. I got mine on sale in June for like $6-8 per piece, but regular price was like $12 dollars a piece anyway.

@Sammyfab: I'm totally copying you and ordering this suit! I'm in love! Thanks for posting!
