I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second child (so I look more like 20). The last two days I've been having horrible, sharp, shooting pains around my bump. They are primarily focused around my belly button. Does this sound normal?

This happened to me when Inwas pregnant with H. It was painful and annoying, but it died down.

@ladybee: are they lingering or super fast?? I had this a ways back (I'm 30ish weeks now) and my doc thought it was my abs tearing and stretching! Yikes! They were fast and almost felt like an electric shock or something, and they were usually in the center of my bump. Doc said during second/third etc pregnancies tend to have this happen!

My ligament pain was really brutal the second time around in that area

I had that around that timeframe with #2 too. I haven't had it there recently though. I'm 28w now.

@ladybee: I had that at 10 weeks also. Mine seemed to be at my appendectomy scar site (I have an old school one, not a lapro one). Went away after a day. My doctor said it was normal; ligaments are shifting around.

I have had so many more weird sharp pains and aches the second time around. It freaked me out at first but I'm 20 weeks now and so far everything looks good, so I've just come to accpet them as part of the deal with a subsequent pregnancy.
