C has her 1 year appointment on the 1st and I know we have a couple who are already 1. What are our big guys/girls posting in at now? Feel free to post their births stats too, for comparison.

I will for sure add P's stats, but she won't be one until early May! I do remember how exciting the WB thread was last year with everyone about to go into labor. Feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time!!

Ooh, subscribing! Can't wait to see the list grow. We don't have our 1 year appt until April 25, but it'll be fun to see where we're all at now!
@bpcmarj: That was such a fun thread on WB!

I'm subscribing! But LO won't be 1 until early May, so I'll jump back in then.
@bpcmarj: What is your LO's birthday?

@regberadaisy: Not TTC, but we're not preventing anything. We would be thrilled to find out we're having another LO!

Hi spring baby friends! DD will be 1 on Monday, but her 1-year appt isn't for a couple more weeks. I think she is slimming down a bit to have percentile numbers more like when she was born, but we'll see soon. What fun new things are all of your LO's doing? DD isn't quite walking or saying any recognizable words yet... although she "talks" *all* the time. She is a very chatty baby. Her most exciting recent milestone (to me at least) is that she learned how to crawl backwards down the two steps leading down into our bedroom that we can't gate off. Previously she always tried to go down head first, but now she understands what it takes to do it safely.
I'll check back in in a few weeks when I have some actual numbers to post!

@Weagle: she is May 7th (but I was due April 23rd!).
@bree72: that was a fun thread:) I don't think everyone from it is over here though! But, there are a lot of us!

@mrsjazz: My son's party is the 20th, too!
@skibobrown: My kidlet does do the stairs head first. He's got it down by slithering like a snake. Strange kid. Glad yours figured out the safe way to take them!

This will be such a fun thread once these babies hit their 1 year mark! I'm following because I really do have a "spring" baby even though she was born in June.

LO won't be 1 until early May, but I can't wait to see his year stats compared to his birth stats! And I can't believe I'll already be 22 weeks pregnant with #2 on his first birthday!

@bree72: I figured you might be having his birthday party on the same day since our LOs are birthday twins. It's going to be a fun day!
My girl started officially walking on her dad's birthday last week. She was taking just a couple of steps at a time but now she can walk across the floor.

@mrsjazz: @bree72: When is your LO's birthday? Our party is the 20th too! His bday is April 18th! Can't believe it's already that time!

@mrsaudi: Our LOs were born on April 17.
@regberadaisy: I know, it is amazing. So weird to see such a little thing walking.

Hi everyone! I haven't joined in the spring 2012 threads before but want to get involved!
DS was born on 3/15/12 and was 1 month early. He spent 1 week in the NICU and weighed in at 6lbs 1oz and 18 inches long. At his 1 year appointment he weighed 20lbs 12oz and is 29 1/2 inches! He holds pretty steady around the 25 percentile.
DS is a super busy boy who gets into everything. He isn't walking yet but is jabbering a lot and we think he is starting to say hi.
Oh and @regberadaisy: We just started to ttc#2. I hope it goes well!
Happy birthday to all your spring babies!

Fun! Little M will be 1 on 4/28, we will have her appt on 4/29 so I'll chime in then. Looking forward to seeing what the spring 2012 babies are up to a year later! Craziness!

DS was born 3/23/12 and was 7 lbs, 6 oz and 21" at birth. Today, at his one year appointment, he was 21 lbs exactly (25%) and 30.5 inches (75%). He took his first steps a month ago, but he is a very cautious walked (not at all like his big sister). He will walk up to 10 steps at a time, and is getting more confident, but he still prefers to hold someone' hand while he walks. He is, however, a pretty confident climber and can go all the way up and down the stairs by himself!
DS signed his first word, "dog," at 9 months; he now signs 8 words ("all done," "more," "eat," "milk," "dog," "blanket," "water," and "sister"). He said his first word, "dog," at 10 months, and now says 5 words ("dog," "mama," "dada," "ball," and "that"). He also points a lot to let us know what he wants, and he quacks and barks (which is hilarious!).
DS is petty happy and easy going most the time, but he is a super momma's boy. He cries hysterically if I leave him or walk out of the room, and he tries to push his sister out of my lap when she wants a little love.
He's usually very affectionate, though, and likes to give hugs to everyone and everything (including blankets, pillows, floors, windows, and trees), and he likes to "pose" with his hands behind his head and his feet kicked up. He's a big ham!

My kids will be 1 tomorrow. Party is tomorrow, hoping my daughter feels better by then. They were both 6 lbs 5 oz. as of 2 months ago, they were 21 and 22 lbs, 30".... Got appt on wed so will update then!
Edit: btw, they both walk now. My daughter more so and a lot longer than my son. They pretty much say 3 words. Seems like my daughter understands so much!

@mrsjazz: ooh, LO's appt is on the 18th, but she turns 1 on the 12th. I can't believe how quickly time flies!!

@Honeybee: that's amazing!! I am going to try not to get milestone-envy.
just kidding...i am happy with LO's development! Happy belated birthday to your DS!
pomelo / 5178 posts
@Freckles: Thank you! And hopefully I'll get to say happy birthday to your LO soon.
(Also, don't feel jealous. DS is developing so much differently from DD, I have to keep reminding myself that they're different kids and they all eventually end up with the same achievements, even if they take different paths to get there.

I had C's appointment today! Her birthday is 4/3.
She was born 10lbs8oz (100th) and 22" (100th). She is now 24lbs (95th) and 30.5"(90th)! She has 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom). She is not walking yet but she cruises all over and I have seen her stand unassisted. She is pretty advanced with her social and fine motor skills. I got to check some boxes on the 15 and 18 month checklists!

Just back from M's 1 yr appt- 19.4 pounds , 28 3/4 ". Holding stay at 40% and 30% percentiles.... Born at 6.14 and 19". Left w/ three shots and a finger prick for blood test... Her stranger anxiety was in full force today.

@winniebee: @littlek: Pretty sure we'll always be in the Peanut Group with P!!!
Birth (41+5 weeks gestation): 6lb 1oz (-3%) & 20 in (pedi measured her at 18in in office though being in the 3.6%).
1 year & 1 day: 16lb 12oz which is more than 2 1/2 times her lowest weight AND birth weight (5.5%) and 27.5 in (5.5%)
She's still under 3% for her head but has been following her % since birth & her soft spot hasn't closed yet so she still has plenty of growth room!
She is a couple month delayed in her social & motor skills, which I read was normal for babies that were SGA, small for gestational age(still refuses to feed herself), BUT she goes through spurts of major growth & then just kinda hangs for a bit where she's at. It worried me alot in the beginning but seeing her development spurts has really calmed the nerves & reminded me that in the grand scheme of things most children level out on the same "playing field" around 2-3 years of age or so.
She's our peanut & we're super proud of her & all the progress she's made this year!!! =)

DS was born on March 26, 2012, 7 lbs 11 oz and 20" long. At his 1 year appointment he was 24 lbs 5 oz and 30.5".
He has been walking since 10 months (omg I am so tired!) and he just started sleeping through the night. Since he was sick so much over the winter I had a really hard time getting rid of the 2 am wake up. I am so happy its over! We have the occasional middle of the night wake up but that's ok.
I know he says "ba" for bottle and for ball. I'm still working on deciphering other words. We are trying to get rid of the bottle but its been a nightmare at daycare before nap so I have a feeling it might take some more time.
I keep saying I'm not ready for number 2 but if it were to happen I think we would be okay. We aren't preventing but I have unexplained infertility so if it happened on its own I would be very surprised.
