LO had her 1 year check-up yesterday! She was born 1 week late on April 12, 2012 at 7lbs 8 oz, 21" long. At 1 year she is 20lbs 8oz and 30" long! She is holding steady just above the 50th percentile, though a bit higher in height. Her short parents are thrilled.

LO just had her 1-year. She was born at 6 lb. 7 oz. (34%) and is now 20 lb. 2 oz. (57%) She was 20 in. (81%) and is now 29.5 in (62%). Poor baby had to get stuck so many times at her appt. Her hemoglobin level was low so the doctor had to do a blood draw from her veins and the first vein the blood was coming so slow so they switched to the other + her two vaccines. She had her first taste of lollipop because it was the only thing that consoled her at the time
We'll find out on Monday why her hemoglobin was low, we'll probably have to do iron supplements (even though she eats lots of green veggies and meat).

We just had DD's 1st bday party tody! Here are stats from last doctor checkup
30" tall and 23 lbs
She has 5 teeth
Loooves any and all fruit (especially frozen blueberries) chicken and pulled pork sandwiches
She knows the animal sounds of a tiger, dog, cat, snake, and monkey. She signs "milk" "more" and "eat"
Sometimes she sleeps through the night, sometimes she wakes up at 3 AM and wants to get in bed with us but I like the extra snuggles anyways
Oh yeah...and she loooooooved her birthday cake lol definitely my daughter

LO had her 1 year check up today!
She was born at 7lbs 10 oz and 21" and at 1 year she is 20lbs and 30.5" tall.
ETA: She has 10 teeth, loves daddy's smoked salmon, carbs (sigh), hummus and her doggie! I think she is transitioning to 1 nap so her night time sleep sucks!
@mrsjazz: Her iron levels are still low so we have to take her to a lab to get tested for anemia & thalassemia (which my bro has). The ped will re-evaluate then if we need iron supplements.

LO had her 1 yr appointment today!
LO was 7 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long at birth. She is now 18 lbs 3 oz and 29.5 inches long... Long, but skinny!
She has 6 (almost 7) teeth, and her favorite foods are cheese, sweet potatoes, and hummus. She's finally sleeping great these days for naps and nighttime. She has taken a few steps, but isn't consistent, and she is learning new words every day. Having a one year old is so much fun!

He was 20lb 14oz and 30 inches(which I don't believe because he has a fellow spring baby he's friends with he is slightly taller than and she was measured taller, but whatevs). I can never remember what his dome is. He's been walking for over 2 months, basically running now. Doesn't have words, but lots of babbling

T had his 1 year visit today.
He is now 18 lbs even and 28 1/4 inches long (started out 5 lbs 5 oz and 17 1/2 inches!)
He has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on bottom - and 7 and 8 are on their way) and says mama and dada and dat. Very loud and happy baby lots of babbling and laughing. No steps yet - he is content to cruise and speed crawl. Favorite foods are pizza, pasta, beef, grapes and blueberries. He outgrew his dairy intolerance by 10 months (yay!) He sleeps through the night - but only ever sleeps 10 or 10 1/2 hours and is up before 6 most days! He's been 100% formula fed since 4.5 months and we'll try out cow's milk soon.
What a year!

P had her 1 year appointment last week but I was just able to update today. She was born 2 weeks late on May 7th at 7lbs 6oz and 22 inches. At one year she is 23lbs 4oz and 32 inches tall! Tall and skinny but pretty solid!
pomegranate / 3729 posts
@zippylef: P and C have always seemed to be about the same size. P a little taller, and C a little heavier!

@bpcmarj: Haha, she was actually weighed last week and she was 26lbs and 32". She's 13.5 months old now.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I can verify that P is indeed a whole head taller than T - almost 4 whole inches taller! @bpcmarj:

Correction - I checked Tyler's stats and he was 28 3/4 inches not 1/4 inches. Every 1/2 inch counts on my peanut!

I never updated in this thread! But at his one year checkup (a month ago), he:
Was 28.5 inches (shorty)
Weighed 23 lbs
Said mama, dada, hot dog, and Mack (the dog). A month later he added, "Mack, sit," up, all done, meow meow (what he calls cats), and ta ta (thank you).
He's cut 8 more teeth since 12 months, and is now at a whopping 16 teeth.
He's already the pickiest eater ever, and really only eats fruit, meat and crackers/cheerios type snacks. Its been a battle here lately to get him to try anything new. Hopefully he'll grow out of it. He's drinking his goat's milk very well, though.

I am very excited to find out what B's stats are.. however, these visits always end up very emotional for me. So, fingers crossed for a good appointment. Brennan will be 1 tomorrow!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: Why? Just because of how far you've come, etc??
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@winniebee: I just want him to be "normal." And I feel like a bad mom for not going full term.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@littlek: He is totally normal and doing fantastic. You should be very proud. I only recently got over T's smallness though.
grapefruit / 4817 posts
@littlek: Ha, it's because of the Mickey Mouse song, not the food. I think he's only had a hot dog once.
And you're doing awesome and Brennan is doing awesome! Don't you worry about his stats...there's plenty of variance out there, and I highly doubt it's any real indicator of the future. Just because my kid hasn't hit a height above the 20th percentile since he was born doesn't mean he'll stay there. That's just where he's at now. I'm sure B's as perfectly imperfect as the rest our babes!

@BananaPancakes: omg he cut EIGHT in a month?
grapefruit / 4817 posts
@regberadaisy: Yes. Pure hell for the first 2 weeks, then switched from Tylenol to Motrin and its been much better. I think it was made morse because 4 of them were those first molars and he had huge swollen liquid filled sacs over them, so he couldn't close his mouth all the way. It was pretty miserable for him (and us).
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
Here's Brennan's stats:
Weight: 19 lbs 8 ozs.. 25th percentile
Height: 29 3/8 inches.. 25th percentile
Head: 17 3/4 inches.. 25 - 50th percentile
Birth:
Weight: 4 lbs 8 ozs
Height: 18 1/2 inches
Born at 34 weeks 0 days
pineapple / 12526 posts
@littlek: Thats awesome! Hes bigger than my neighbors little girl who was full term and 2lbs bigger at birth!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@zippylef: When I was pregnant with B he measured huge and doctor thought I would have to have c section. Apparently B only needed 34 weeks to bake. lol
pineapple / 12526 posts
@littlek: I knew from about 28 weeks that C was going to be a monster baby. Lol. My midwife refused to do a sizing ultrasound because she knew the doctors would try to force me into a c/s.
Babies make their own schedule sometimes! He came exactly when he meant to. Lol
