@T.H.O.U.: another family we know with a boy rowan, also has a boy sawyer! ha!
@Mamaof2: that was on our old list, but i think it's too trendy now!
@Mrs. Jacks: it's hard for me to change a strong association with a boy to a girl name (like with tristan). i know some people have that association with my kid's name, but i never associated it with a boy, so i didn't have an issue. it took me 3 years to add carter to the list for a girl! i liked it first go around, but it was too strongly associated with boy for me at the time. i like poppy! our friend's with 3 boys just told us that their girl name if they ever had one was clementine.
@2littlepumpkins: i am weird about duplicate letters. i couldn't do an R because we want 3 and then i would feel like i would have to do an R for the third!
@chopsuey: i have too strong an association with @arden: (whom i and have met)! that's the only time i've ever heard the name!
@stiletto_mom: you think the first of DD2 and middle of DD1 being too close is weird? i'm undecided.
@hilsy85: i like ruby and was thinking it would be fun to have a "red" undercurrent for names (R0wan means little red one) but i am not sure. i do have Rue on the middle name list.
@catlady: i used to be OBSESSED with both harper and avery, but our close friends had a harper right before DD1, so we nixed it and DH made fun of avery for years before i was even pregnant, so it's off the list.
@Mrs. Jacks: i think thea is a little too old fashioned without the spunk for us. pippa definitely has more of that spunk!
