I searched for my LOs name and apparently it hasn't broken the top 1000 in the last 100 years! I don't think it's that strange!

@yellowbird: really?! maybe it's considered a variation of the first few letters? I don't think it's strange, I love her name!!

@runsyellowlites: The variation of Rs name that is in the top 1000 was listed at 849 for 2012. We spell hers with an a instead of an e but I think they are pronounced the same; with a z sound not like the flower. Our name for a future dd is Annetta. My name is from Shakespeare I think you have an awesome name! (I am not a stalker I just remember it from a WB thread because it I had never heard it before). I wish our boy name was less popular but I adore anyways.

oh dang, our top choice girl name went from 547 in 2011 to 406, that's a huge jump! it's a peripheral character in the Twilight series which makes me sad, but it has family significance so we'll still use it anyway if we have a girl...but still, booooo!

Our 2 favorite girl names went down yay! Carolina (pronounced Caroleena) stayed at 430 and Lorena dropped off the Top 1000. All of the boy names we like stayed about the same, all of which are over 150.

Wow - of the top 20 names, 11 of them were on my list! Luckily, DD's name comes in at 146, having dropped from 2011!

My name was pretty popular growing up, and I thought it was super annoying, so I really didn't want DD to have the same issue

I can safely say that we contributed to Ethan being #3. The funny thing is that we don't know anyone with LOs with the same name.

  10. yellowbird

    honeydew / 7303 posts

@sorrycharlie: ooh! I found that a different spelling of her name was ranked 920!

  11. runsyellowlites

    coconut / 8305 posts

@cheesetomywhine: Oh I know that pretty much if you've read/heard my name it's pretty unforgettable so I don't think you're stalking.

Yay, I've seriously been wondering all week about this.
LO's name isn't in the top 1000, although a similar name is 41.

I so loved Emma, but was turned off when I found out how popular it is. But I have yet to meet one baby Emma!

@zippylef: but C's name will never be "trendy" or overused! It is soooo classic and beautiful. It can not be "overrated", ever!

R's name jumped 80 spots but just broke through to the top 500. Ha.
