LO will be six weeks next week and I'll be returning to work (she'll go to daycare). She is bottlefed (EBM and formula). OH, even before LO, got up for work at 4am and left at 4:30am. LO wakes up to eat around 2am. For the past two nights, OH has gone to bed at 7pm and woken up at 2am with LO. I sleep from 9pm or 9:30pm and wake at 4am. This way I know I can get a shower in before OH leaves if LO is awake and fussy. I'll be getting home by 4pm from work, so OH and I will have 3 hours to see each other each night. If LO wakes before midnight, it is my duty. After is his.

Has anyone ever tried anything like this? It has worked great the past two nights but I'm wondering if we're just being naïve. Even if LO would be up the whole night, we both get 4 hours of sleep no matter what.

Once LO is STTN or falls right asleep after a night feeding (she can take an hour or so right now), we'll both sleep 9 to 4.
