I quit my job. Honestly, my boss was stressing me out to the point that I had tension headaches everyday. She owned rhe company so there wasnt anybody to talk to about. Finally my doctor was telling me to make changes. I was 17 weeks pregnant but found another job 3 weeks later.

I worked out a lot. Not just a simple walk around the block, but a workout that got my endorphins going. It made me feel SO much better. Pregnancy is hard enough w/ all the extra hormones, so it's easy to get overly stressed. I hope you can get to relax soon.

@Honeygold89: I dont have too much advice other than take care of yourself and your LO. I didnt realize how badly I handle stress until I was pregnant. Almost everyday I was at work from 25 weeks on my belly would be hard as a rock while I was there I ended up going into preterm labor, not to say that would happen to you. But defintly try to find something to help you relax and de-stress.

I had a lot of work stress while pregnant, I wish I had relaxed more. Long walks helped me and venting a lot to my mom and DH. Thinking about fun little projects to do for the baby kept my spirits up too. I wish I could have gone for massages and pedicures, or switched jobs!!!

@MaisyMay: @pinkb: I'm actually not working so the stress not from that lol but I seriously feel like quitting everything and body around me sad I know.
When I get to the gym I'm ready to go plus I'm already consider high risk so I can't do too much there.
@cmomma17: honestly I feel bad cause those are the main people stressing me along with my dad and stepdaughter

I use a tincture/homeopathic called Rescue Remedy - I love the stuff ... My first midwife introduced me to the stuff and I've been hooked ever since. Hope you can de-stress soon.

@cmomma17: just the support and being able to vent judgement free helps and being able to get advice thanks to all you ladies @MaisyMay: @BabyBoecksMom: @pinkb: I just don't want it to affect my baby that makes me a little more nervous about things right now
@Ginger333: I'm going to try and look that up now and see I I can find anything on it thanks

@Honeygold89: I jogged 2-3 miles daily or did other workouts up until my 8th month (I stopped due to pain in my pelvic bone). My baby was perfect and my labor was very easy (pushed for only 2 min). I'm not saying you need to do all that, but exercise is the best way to combat stress. Just monitor yourself and keep your exertion around a 6 instead of 8 and you'll both be just fine.

Mine is work related, and I've been crafting. I wish I was still exercising more than just walking the dog for 30-40 minutes a day.

@BabyBoecksMom: I'm going to try that cause its getting bad I feel like running away from everybody and everything and I'm bout ready to kill DH for real

@Honeygold89: good luck!!! Even if it's just a long, brisk walk that gets you away from the stress and gets your heartrate up a bit, it would be a tremendous help. Do you have a park or something nearby with a trail?

@BabyBoecksMom: yes but it's so many ditches and I'm always seeing snakes so I'm a little scared to walk it lol but I just might need to get over that for now

@Honeygold89: I dont do very well with monumental change, even when I am the one wanting it! Case in point: I cried the entire time getting ready for my wedding. It was just so overwhelming to me. Another... about 3 years ago our church pastor he announced he was being led in another direction, sobbed like a baby in church. So, even though I am BEYOND THRILLED to be pregnant right now (I mean we planned this for years, and studied for months, and tried for months!) I am still having some feelings of depression and overwhelmed-ness. I try to spend time out with people, because that works for me, I am watching my favorite shows a lot, eating foods I want, and just trying to be gentle with myself. I know it will pass. Each day it gets easier and easier and I am more happy and excited than overwhelmed. I dont know if those things will help you, but I would suggest trying to do the things that you are running from. Isolation makes it worse!

@Honeygold89: what did you do to manage your stress before you were pregnant? those strategies will probably still be useful now, and it will help to build good ideas for the future, as things will be stressful with a newborn too.
i am so sorry that you are going through such a rough patch right now too--HB is a great place for support!

@citymouse: aw I'm pretty much the same way and I'm so happy and ready for this baby but at the same time Overwhelmed also. I font have any friend or people I hang with or go out with I always been a home body pretty much and a loner because I fing have time for other people drama but anyways I'm trying to figure something out so it doesn't get worst

@MamaCate: honestly before I got pregnant I would manage it by getting a few cups of wine, a black and mild cigar (bad habits I know) and watch a movie or listen to music or got sit at a park by myself and chill out but now I can't go those thing so that's why I think the stress is getting to me worst but pregnant or not I actually gave up smoking two months before the first pregnancy in feb and don't plan on doing it afterwards either so I just got yo find better ways
