We went to Mexico when I was 28 weeks. All I wanted to do was sit on a beach with a fruity drink in hand. I sat in the shade and applied a lot of sunscreen, but I also snorkled, hiked and did other activities in the sun!

Definitely pile on the SPF. I have noticed I'm much more sensitive to the sun since getting pregnant. Especially in the cleavage area. I stick to the shade as much as possible and drink lots of water when I'm outside. (I'm in Nashville so it's already in the 90s here most days)

Yay for sunbathing!! I haven't had the chance to really spend a lot of time doing so but you're going to have such a great summer during the best part of your pregnancy! Enjoy it and enjoy the pool!! I think the most important thing is to stay hydrated.

I don't love to lay out, but I love to lounge in the pool. I was pregnant last summer (one of Texas' hottest summers). I spent a fair amount of time in our pool. That was one of the comments the nurses and anesthesiologist made at my delivery that I spent the pregnancy working on my tan.

I tan easily and the pool was very refreshing to my extremely bloated ankles and feet.

I love sunbathing and like others said, I think staying hydrated and using sunscreen is fine. Also, like everything else in the pregnancy world, in moderation is probably best.

I didn't, but only because one of my co-workers did and afterwards, had melasma (it made her look like she had a mustache). I figured I've already got a line from my sternum to my crotch to deal with, I don't want a brown mustache too!

Just spent all weekend camping with one of those days at the lake. I wore a sassy one piece instead of my usual bikini, wore a floppy hat, and reapplied sunscreen every hour or so. My legs and feet got burnt but that was it. I never usually burrn there, so that was kind of weird. Oh and lots of water drank throughout the day! And I left early even though my friends werent quite done.
