How did you handle the third trimester? I'm 33weeks and so uncomfortable

I'm 35 weeks, and it started getting bad about where you are. I just get in the pool a lot, keep my feet up, and take it easy. No sleep at night, and try and catch a short nap when I can. Hard to see the end in sight, but it is!

I agree with the pool. It made me feel sooooo good! That and massages. Also I think it helped to just think about why I was so uncomfortable. It was for a good reason, and I wanted my lo to stay in till her due date to fully cook so I wanted to stay uncomfortable, knowing in the end I would get a baby.

Yes, @artbee and massages...how could i forget! I had one this past week and even though she did deep tissue so I was a little sore the next day, I felt a LOT of tension gone. After my next dr appt next week, I am going to see if I can get another around 37 weeks and one more before I go into labor!! Supposedly they help with labor anyway...um...getting one sure can't hurt!

Take it easy....try to relax with your feet up whenever possible. Warm baths are nice, too, especially just before bed.
I also try to do something to pamper myself once a week...a pedicure, a new book, a haircut...something just for me.
@lydg:/@artbee: I would LOVE to be in a pool right now. I love how weightless even the bathtub makes me feel, I can't imagine how wonderful a nice cool pool would feel.

I honestly felt great in my third trimester, especially at the very end. One thing that helped was walking often and getting massages. They made me feel like a new woman! I also always sat on my bouncy ball, even at the dinner table! It really took the pressure off of all the sore places.

one day at a time. And keep busy. Also keep walking/exercising; your body will thank you later.
Get a hand massage with your mani/pedi.

I am there with you, currently 33w and wish it was over. Don't recall being this way with DD but then I wasn't chasing a 2yo around then either. I've been trying to rest as much as possible and keep hydrated.

@PasteMoo: Exactly! One day at a time. I am 34.5 weeks, and just take each day as it comes. I am tired, sore, there is pressure in my pelvis, and I am just so, so uncomfortable all the time. I do what I can to try to rest and put my feet up, but even when I am doing that I am not necessarily comfortable.

I used to get on my hands and knees a lot when I was home, and arch my back that helped with the achy-ness and took the pressure off my hips because LO was so low i felt pain with every step. taking long walks also helped funnily enough.

I'm 30 weeks, and starting to see my sleep disappear and instead waking up with aches and pains in my back/arm/leg/ect. This is not fun. I try to walk at night to help ease the pressure and just to get some exercise. Also, need to get new pillows to help I think, mine are too flat.
