Okay, I'm really starting to worry about Elliott's development.

She will be 10 months old next week and she is still not crawling. I know, I know, some babies never crawl - but she isn't one of these babies, she really, really wants to. She's making our lives a misery constantly trying and screaming about it.

But it's not the crawling I'm really worried about...... It was Mrs Chocolate's blog post that started me thinking.... She isn't pulling up. At all. She never never pulled up to stand by herself - she is totally not strong enough. Her legs are strong enough to hold her and she walks beautifully assisted but there's no way she could pull up to standing while holding onto something....

Plus, in addition to Mrs Cholocate's blog post, there was a video on FB this morning of my friend's baby (a week younger) crawling really fast to his ride-on train toy, pulling up on it to stand and then climbing onto it. My poor kid can't even get up off the floor.

Other things she can't do or very rarely does:

- Roll front to back (she can but she doesn't. She just lies on her face and cries)

- Sit herself up from a lying position. She lies there trying to, lifing her head up and crying.

She can get onto her knees now but from there she just faceplants or pushes herself back into a sitting position.

Her fine motor skills are good and she does all the clapping, waving stuff and she's so sociable with other babies and adults... so I don't think there's anything to worry about with her.... but when is she going to get those gross motor skills locked down? We've had 6-8 weeks of this lying on the floor crying because she can't move! I'm so over it!!

Talk me off the ledge. It's all ok, right? She's crawl soon, right?
