We were shopping for LO today and saw a cute little tutu dress that would be perfect for a family friend who is pregnant. They're huge college football fans and it was their school colors. So my mom decided to buy it.... just in case they have a girl. She figured if they don't, she'll just give it to someone else in the future.

I did yes, but just things that were on super clearance, like a dress for $ 7. One dress I gifted to a friend...I kept the tags on the gender specific stuff.

Yep. I got several girl things an several boy things.LOL The boy things, sleepers, she slept in anyway. I think sleepers are good in case they are different genders they can still wear them....well not the boys b/c my SO would have had a fit if I had a boy and put him on pink sleepers.LOL

@MsMamaBear: I buy my LO, who's a girl, boy sleepers anyway! I can never find gender neutral, and I figure I want to have some stuff just in case my next is a boy so I won't have to buy everything new all over again. So I always get two girl ones and two boys ones. I figure I'll do it until she protests.

we bought & recd gifts of some camo & hunting stuff - mostly onsies. it's for boys, but everyone knew that even if we had a girl (which we did), she'd still be wearing it since daddy loves to hunt. so I figure we'll just slap a ping bow or 2 on & call it good when we dress her in the boy stuff.
we also got some hand-me-down boy shoes, & I kept a few pair of those (like little black converse) b/c I'll totally put her in them with a cute outfit -
@katdevargas: oh that sounds super cute!! I've seen many pictures of little girls in camo with bows or headbands.

@katdevargas: We also have some boy clothes that we were gifted when people didn't know the gender yet. One of them is my favorite onesie, it's dark gray with a panda bear. She wears it all the time, and everyone calls her a boy. But I don't care!
@MsMamaBear: Lol, doesn't hurt, just takes up a little storage room.

Everything we got beforehand was gender neutral. After was gender specific.

Before delivery we got maybe one girl outfit (didn't find out gender until delivery). After delivery we only got girly stuff from family/friends. I've tried to find gender neutral stuff beyond 0-3m and haven't had much luck at all. Since we aren't finding out the gender of #2 until delivery again, I could very well be doing a lot of shopping.
