The guy who slapped the kid is a relative, right? I'd be mad but at the same time, I wouldn't sue him. He reached out in frustration. The kid was swinging a bat at a bunch of other kids, was out of control and then kicked him. While I wouldn't have slapped him, I could see where he was coming from.

When I first saw this preview, I thought the guy who slapped the kid was a stranger but it looks like he's a cousin of the dad, maybe? Ugh. Reality of parenting today.

If i had an issue with a relative hitting my kid, I'd be far more likely to just tell them off and cut them out of my life if I had concerns they would keep it up

Same as blackbird, I'd cut them out of my life if it was a sign of more than an isolated incident.

I think it's supposed to be a mini-series?

I don't know if I'd sue - but I'd certainly cut a b*tch.

I watched it! It was weird. The main character has like a sexual obsession with his kids young babysitter? And then has a birthday party, and some bratty kid almost hits other children with a bat and then some irate guy slaps him for misbehaving. Sooo I don't know where the show goes from here? I don't think I'll watch again though lol

Gosh. If someone hit my child, I think I would press charges for assault? Or cut them out of my life entirely.

DH and I watched. It wasn't amazing but I think I'll stay tuned for the rest of the series. I thought it was a little too obvious that we were supposed to hate the mother and son (Melissa George) from the get go. I didn't think there was a whole lot of depth at all. I do like that Uma Therman is in it though.
