LO is nearing 23 months, and she had actually been pretty good with tantrums. They'd be brief, we can reason with her, nothing too crazy. There would even be moments where she sprawled herself on the floor, but that lasted a minute. I could deal with it.
But now. The tantrums are FIIIERCE. She was crying this morning because she wanted to go to the basement and then she started shaking the bi-fold door. I was so terrified (i was around the corner in the bathroom) that the door would fling open and she would accidentally tumble down that i said, "be careful!!" I didn't yell but my tone was loud, and she just flipped out.
I am pretty zen and just keep calm. I don't ignore her but i stay with her until she calms down. How do you handle tantrums when it's because they want something but you have no intention of giving in? Also, how do i deal with this when i need to get out of the house for work??
