Well I woke up Sunday with what I can only pinpoint as hemorrhoids. I have never have them but did a little research and I'm pretty sure I'm on of those that have gotten them. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and will mention it. Anyone else suffer from these? Any tips to help curb the pain? I'm only 24 weeks and really don't want to deal with them for the rest of my pregnancy if I can avoid it!

Tucks pads or witch hazel pads to put in your underwear. So soothing!!!
Hope they go away soon.

I will try both, thank you! i have been doing warm baths and then switching to ice packs, hasn't done much to help relieve the pain.

Ouch! Oh no
I'm terrified of getting these, especially because I have been so constipated lately. Boo!!! I miss my normal digestive system lol. PS YAY for 24 weeks!!! So exciting!!

Wipes with witch hazel, preparation H, lots of water and lots of fiber so you aren't straining to poo. That helped me a lot.

@hilsy85: I was constipated for the first 18 weeks, and finally got normal again. I thought I was in the clear, but I guess not! If it's not one things it is another...good thing the end is worth it

I've dealt with them for most of my adult life so I feel your pain. In addition to the suggestions already on here I find that putting a little vaseline back there can help as well. Sorry to be gross but it helps for when you do have to poo for things to slide out a little more easily. And it helps stop irritation when you are going about your day. Good luck!

Lots of water and fiber! And my favorite secret weapon, Ching Wan Hung ointment for when they're really bad. I pushed for 2.5 hours in labor... I needed some help in this area and Ching Wan Hung did the trick!

Lots of water & fiber. Definitely tucks/witch hazel. And check with your doctor about COLACE. My doc recommended to help with constipation-- which can help you avoid hemmroids. I know it wouldn't do anything for what you have, but it could help you avoid them in the future, or avoid these ones from getting bigger or more sore. GOOD LUCK.

Ugh, I'm so worried I'm going to get these. I've always had problems with regularity and hard stools, so I can only imagine it is going to get significantly worse with pregnancy. Not.looking.foward.to.it. Good luck! And if you find any miracle cures, let me know! I'm sure I'll need them at some point!
