We both got the tDap but I got it in the hospital after delivery and my husband got it during a physical several months before due date. Neither one of us has gotten flu shots and dont plan to.

Tdap because baby can't get any pertussis protection until she is 8-9 weeks old; if you get the vaccine you pass along some of the antibodies to LO, which is better than nothing. DH got it too since he was going to be spending so much time around her.

I also got the flu shot because flu is most dangerous to 3 groups of people: pregnant women, babies, and old people (and those with weakened immune systems, of which all those people are). I felt it to be more important than ever to get my flu shot while pregnant to protect both myself and LO.

I got the flu shot while I was pregnant and a tdap booster a few days after M was born (I should have had it while pregnant but she was early and beat me to it). I made sure DH and my mom, dad and sister had flu and tdap up to date because they spent a lot of time with M. Her being a little premature and it being flu / pertussis season made me a little more cautious.

I'll be getting the flu shot next week at my office free clinic. I always get the vaccine, and my ob/gyn especially recommended itit now that I'm pregnant.

DH and I will also be getting tdap. I have to talk to my dr about the best time for that still.

I'm 29 weeks pregnant. I just got the flu shot this week and I also got it the year I was pregnant with DS. DH is getting the flu shot next week and DS will get it this month. DH's job offers it for free to all employees. DS goes to nursery school, and since DD is expected in December, I want to minimize the germs as much as possible.

I never get the flu shot, because I never get the flu.

After I delivered S last year, I got my Tdap booster, and after I deliver this baby, I'm gonna need a ruebella booster.

We both got the flu shot (thimerosal free) while I was pregnant, and my husband and parents got the tDap. I waited until after delivery for tDap, per my doctors' recommendation.

DH and I vaccinate anyways, so we didn't change getting vaccinated due to pregnancy. We did mention to relatives that will have a lot of contact with baby that there is a flu shot clinic offered at the local hospital.

I've gotten the tDap and flu, I'm working on making an appointment to get DH in to get both as well (before she's born next month!).

I got the flu shot already because my doc recommended it. I'll get whatever else she recommends before I'm due.

DH and I will both get the flu shot and tdap. I have asthma, so it's generally really important for me to get the flu shot, since it could put me in the hospital. When my pulmonologist told me I needed to get it every year, I was like "oh I've never gotten the flu" and he said most people only get it once or twice in their entire lives. I'd rather not have it the year I'm pregnant, other years I'm more willing to take the risk. Plus some immunity for both shots gets passed on to baby, and he'll be born in November.

We both got the flu shot shortly before I delivered. My husband gets one annually at work (required), and I got my first ever flu shot when I was pregnant. Now I get them annually.

We both got the tdap after I delivered.

I already had the tDap, but I got the flu shot for both pregnancies because I wanted to protect myself and my baby through flu season, since it would be a while before either of them could get vaccines. DH got the flu shot so that he could (hopefully) not bring the flu home to us.

So funny, we had this exact convo today. I'm 38+3 and had my TDAP during pregnancy a few weeks/months ago, as is standard in my practice. DH came with me today to get his. They offered him the flu shot but he declined- he's never gotten the shot OR the flu. I haven't gotten my flu shot and I'm not sure I will, they haven't asked me to in my OB office.

I got the flu shot (it's required for my job, but would have gotten it anyway). And I'd already had the Tdap (also for work, but would have gotten that, too). Hubs got both. And we also made all the grandparents get both.

ETA: I was pregnant when I got the flu shot

@grizz: We were going to wait on tdap (well, I was ... hubby was going to get it before LO arrives), and I was going to get it right after s/he is born. BUT, I know how important those antibodies can be. Did you experience any side effects from the vaccine when you got it? Obviously, I'm more worried about baby, but providing it's safe for baby, my next concern is my own health.

We got both the dtap and flu. My doctor was very opinionated about getting both to protect me and the baby. And thank goodnesss we did, because DH was exposed to whopping cough and the shot protected us!!

@Vegmama: Nope, none! I work for an OB but believe in unmedicated, low intervention pregnancy and childbirth so I really researched it. I was a little sore at the injection site but that's it!
