That's normal! I don't think our nursery was ready for our second baby, until about 4 weeks before she arrived, maybe less. You'll start nesting and it will get done!

Any crafty/DIY friends that could come over and help? Take out, drinks and help organize the baby's room could be a fun girls night?

Commiserating. DD3 will be here in ten days and I've only just pulled out our baby clothes today. I've got a lot to do.

Take heart in knowing it can get done in a few short spurts or if need be just one session that's a few hours long. Let Amazon handle what you can order off your phone or laptop and take it a piece at a time.

Try breaking it up into what you need the first week, the first month, then the first 3 months. Sleepers, diapers and wipes, burp cloths, and a rock n play or bassinet should do you immediately, plus the car seat. Make your husband wash whatever needs to be washed and go to town with some Lysol wipes while you watch something on Netflix.

Or sit up in your bed and have your husband dump all the baby clothes on top of the bed and just sort while you watch some TV and lazily go through it a box at a time.

Even for LO1 I didn't get his nook together until like after 30 weeks!

It's ok. My 2nd LO is 8 weeks old and I still have things to do for her. We had nothing done when she was born except one box of diapers and the pack and play was set up in our room. She was only one week "early" too. It will all get done eventually and she will never know the difference.

I had my 2nd child unexpectedly a month early and had nothing ready. clothing still had tags, crib bedding wasn't washed, no room set up. Good thing is that it was a positive reminder you pretty much don't need anything to have a baby except some diapers and a couple outfits! ha! Friends came over to my house and did laundry for me and helped get stuff set up while I was in the hospital.

I'm 5 weeks away and in the same boat. Nesting has started kicking in for me so I've spent a ton of money the last few days ordering everything we need and that I want for baby off of Amazon. I also made a prioritized list of what needs done so DH, MIL and I can start at the top and knock stuff out. Once we put it in writing today, we really got moving!

Some of those things can probably be done after birth. Ask for help!

I was using #2's further room as an office up to 5 days before she was born. The day before my csection is when my husband started painting for it. And we had no furniture until after she was born! I happens and you learn you don't need all that stuff to bring home baby
