I had first trimester bleeding with both pregnancies, and I have a toddler and I'm 37 weeks pregnant.

I bled more days than not from 5 weeks to 14 weeks. (A week is the longest I went without bleeding then); SCH was found at 14 weeks, but it wasn't present on any earlier ultrasounds. 20 weeks Saturday and baby is good!

I didn't have any with my first pregnancy but with my second, I bled quite a bit in the first trimester. Turns out I had placenta previa. Hope all is well with you!

I had early (starting under 6 weeks) bleeding and like @runnerd had a SCH. I have a happy, healthy LO who I am rocking to sleep as we "speak"

Very happy! I really thought I was losing my baby and she is now a happy 17 months.
*hugs!*

I've bled (due to low progesterone) in all 4 of my pregnancies. 2 had happy outcomes (because I was immediately put on a high dose of P supplementation) and 2 had unhappy outcomes (because we hasn't yet discovered how high a level of supplementation I required to sustain a pregnancy).

I bled from 4 through this week. I'm on Day 1 of no bleeding.
I had a SCH that resolved itself & now I've got a low-lying placenta. I'm almost 13 weeks.

@swedishfish: Hope you're okay.
I bled for the first several weeks because my progesterone supplements irritated my cervix. Then I bled in second tri because a yeast infection irritated my cervix even more. At 25 weeks they say my cervix is just really irritable and I have a low-lying placenta but everything looks great!

I had one isolated bleeding incident with DS and he is currently crawling all over and playing with toys. I bled off and on for about 4 weeks with this current pregnancy and the midwives at my OB practice never figured out why! It finally stopped and baby girl is at 22 weeks and doing well! I hope all is well with you!

@spaniellove: during my entire pregnancy I referred to my cervix as "sensitive sally". I bled the whole time!! I also had an "irritable uterus" which caused pre term contractions. My lady bits are very emotional.

I woke up to lots of bright red blood at around 6 weeks with my first pregnancy. My daughter will be 3 in one month! Hoping for the best for you..

Complicated pregnancy, but perfectly healthy (although 5 weeks early) baby! He will be 1 on Saturday!

With this one, I bled until 13 or 14 weeks, and I'm 34 weeks now. The two before did not have happy endings, but I bled more with this one than I did with those.
Thinking of you!

I had a friable cervix, so I had light spotting early on. I have an 18 month old whose asleep and happy.

Thinking of you! It was such a scary experience for me after conceiving with IVF but my story is positive. I had a partial placenta previa. With pelvic rest & no lifting, my bleeding stopped. I am currently 26 weeks!

I had spotting off and on throughout the entire first trimester bc of a friable cervix. It was very scary but I have a very happy ending - my 2yo. Good thoughts for you!!!

I've bled with all three of my pregnancies and have three happy outcomes! My second pregnancy I had a SCH, which resolved itself by the 14th week.

Heavy bleeds at 6 and 12 weeks...I was pretty resolved at the time that there was no way the outcome would be happy, but now she's a healthy, opinionated 20-month old. I'm also 30 weeks with #2 and have had no bleeding this pregnancy. Hoping for the best for you.

Out of my two pregnancies, I had bleeding with the one that ended badly.

hope all is ok.
I bled both pregnancies, one with a happy outcome. I bled a few times with LO actually. From 3-7 weeks, a couple times throughout pregnancy and from 35-40 weeks and everything was completely fine.

I had bleeding at 4w3d when I went to the bathroom and that leveled off into a few days of brown spotting. It ended up with a m/c as you know but because of some things he saw on the ultrasound and because it stopped, he's not even sure the bleeding/spotting had anything to do with the miscarriage.
I hope everything is fine with you!

Thanks, everyone! I'm hoping it's just the progesterone irritating things. The bleeding turned brown this morning and is almost gone so hopefully everything is alright. My first official appointment on March 10 is a long ways away still.

@swedishfish: If you're bleeding and would like to put your mind at ease, I'm sure you could call your doc and tell them you were bleeding (not spotting) and they would see you sooner.
Glad it's easing up though! xoxoxo

If you are bleeding, usually, they will see you right away. I'd call just to check it out, although it is probably nothing. I bled for a day. They told me to come in right away. They never found out why I was bleeding. Only bled for a day or two.

@swedishfish: can you call and ask to be seen?
My RE wanted to see me every time I bled. Thy strongly suspected it was from the progesterone (I discovered if I didn't insert it all the way, it didn't irritate me as much!) but did find an SCH at 8 weeks. I was instructed to call them every time I bled and did go in twice for an exam & uktrasound.
Same with my OB. Because of the diagnosed SCH they took any bleed seriously. Now that I've got a low-lying placenta they're still proactive about any bleeds & get me in for same day appointments.
It's scary, even if you do find a reason why you're bleeding. My first guess would be the progesterone. My OB did an internal at my 9w appt and told me my cervix was "irritated and lumpy" and we definitely blamed the progesterone. She even had me stop taking them!

@swedishfish: I would try to get seen. When I mentioned bleeding to my doc, I got to go to the early pregnancy unit right away for blood draws and a scan. Helped put my mind at ease. That's great it's turning to brown though and almost gone.
