No way! I was tired and huge and would have probably been upset if it was.
I liked knowing so I could shop for a cute outfit and look nice that day

Agree with @Mamaof2 that I would have been upset. I wanted to be all dressed cute and everything, and I love looking forward to things. I would have been sad to have missed the time to enjoy looking forward to it. I'm also someone who has to plan things; spontanaity stresses me out big time.

Hmm, I always wanted mine to be a surprise. Now I'm reconsidering. I think it's stressing DH out since I have no family or bffs here to plan it. (Besides his mom.)

Nope, my friends surprised me with the theme (once I got the invite in the mail) but otherwise I knew when they were, I wanted to be dressed cute, have my camera ready for pictures, ect.

No, my friends told me and I didn't know much about the venue or theme. I loved my shower, it was small and adorable. I agree with PP, I wanted to have a cute dress and my hair done and makeup on!

Not with DD1 - I had two lovely showers, both of which I knew about. With DD2, I didn't want a shower (I felt gift grabby since family and friends had just gotten us baby gear a couple years prior). My cousin was expecting her first at the same time I was expecting my second, and our family threw us a surprise shower while at our family reunion. They said they didn't tell me because they didn't want me to protest being included. It was sweet, but I still felt guilty

I have always thought surprise showers were mean because the Mom-to-be goes a long time thinking none of her family and friends want to throw one for her. I know when and where mine is but thats it. My friends and family are keeping everything else a surprise.

Nope - I know when both of mine are and had to help with picking dates that work wih my schedule.

My coworkers threw me a surprise one at work. But my regular one with friends and family was NOT a surprise. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to be surprised, like others have said. I wanted to pick out my outfit and do my hair and makeup for it. Plus I liked having a say in the menu and I got to make sure everyone I wanted to invite was invited.

Sort of. We were already hosting an event, and it ended up being dual purpose. It was almost a surprise. I knew my co-host was making a cake, so I got really suspicious when she freaked out about be walking through to put in a load of laundry while she was decorating it. And then someone tried to sneakily stash a present on our front porch, not realizing that I could see them out the window.

Nope! My BFFs wanted to make sure they accomodated our schedule since at the time, both DH and I worked 7 days a week. Work let me know in advance when they were throwing me one also because they wanted to invite DH!

Aside from the surprise shower my coworkers threw me at work, my family one wasn't a surprise. I didn't want my family having to figure out how to surprise me...so much easier knowing about this one. They surprised me for my bridal shower and that was enough!

I voted "its complicated" because I had a normal shower, but my work threw me a surprise shower. It was SO sweet, and so much fun.

I voted no because my actual shower was not a surprise, but work did throw me a surprise lunch shower and that was really nice.
