I gained 35 (would have gained more but had gestational diabetes so no more sweets) and LO was 7 lbs even.

@meganmp: I was so confused until I re-read your post....twins. Got it

I gained 38 and LO was 8 lbs 4 oz. WAS NOT happy gaining that much, next time I'll try for 25, but my 8 lb baby ate and slept like a champ from day 1, so that was a plus to her being bigger.

I gained around 20-25 lbs. and DS weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz at birth.

i gained 40 lbs(a TON of water weight) and he was 7lbs 12oz. the doctor was guessing 9+lbs the way i was measuring and was surprised at how 'small' he was when he was born

I gained 25lbs with DD and she was 8lbs 0.7oz; I gained 20lbs with DS and he was 9lbs 6oz

I gained 33 - LO was 7lbs 11oz 15 days early. Lord help us if I went until his due date!

I gained 26 lbs and LO was 9lbs 5oz. I was stress eating a lot at the end. I think he would have been smaller if I hadn't been so stressed.

@kml636: I gained about 50lbs and LO weighed 8lbs 8oz...i was also not happy with the weight gain but being a big baby, she was a sleeping and eating champ! At 16 months she's leaned out a little but is still a great eater and sleeper

I think it varies so much not only from person to person but pregnancy to pregnancy. I gained 28 lbs and DS weighed 7 lbs 11 oz at 2 weeks 'early'. So glad he didn't want to cook any longer!

I gained 20 pounds (I don't know if that's a little or a lot..?), and S was born at 40+1 and weighed 7lbs 10oz.

I gained 12 pounds and had a 6 pounder. My mother gained 40, and I was 5 pounds, so I think we're just small people.

I gained around 50lbs and DS was 7lbs 11oz. He was also 2.5 weeks early. I did have a ton of swelling and was borderline pre-e.

Gained 56lbs and DD was 9lbs 1oz. She is now a wee string bean at 14lbs almost 5 months later!

With both pregnancies, I gained 40 pounds and each baby was 6 lbs., 10 oz. I gave birth in the summer with both kids, so there was a lot of ice cream being eaten.

I gained 32 lbs and LO was 7 lbs 6 oz, 21 inches. Not sure whether or not there's a correlation but that was about what I was expecting (or hoping!) to gain and DD was about the size baby everyone expected me to have - no idea why!

I don't think there's correlation - I am 5"2 and gained 30 lbs and my LO was only 5 lb 5 oz!

Gained 45 lbs and LO was 9lb 5oz. I'm pretty sure a lot of that was bloat because I have lost 20 lbs in the 5 days since delivery. The doc says I'm just made to have big babies. (which seems odd to me because I was 6 lb 7oz, DH was 8 even and we're both pretty slender...but he said my weight gain wasn't too high based on pre-preg weight and build)

Gained close to 60lbs, induced because of pre-e. I was swollen everywhere. DS was 8lbs, 2oz.
No stretch marks, back in a size 2. (5'3", 120lbs)

@rachiecakes: Wow!! You go girl!!! I'm just an inch shorter than you, and at 18 weeks, the scale is already displaying a sad number. You're my inspiration to get back down to my pre-preggo weight once DS is born!! =)

I lost weight most of my pregnancy (-30 pounds before I gained anything back). I gained right about 10 pounds right near the end (still minus 20), and my DS was 8lbs 3 ounces. My doctor said it was unusual but we were both healthy. Plus I was happy not to gain a lot, women in my family have a hard time losing weight after baby. Today I am still losing weight like crazy due to breastfeeding.
