I can feel kicks and jabs but I can't tell if it's her feet or arms or head or what not. How were you able to tell?

I can't tell. I thought she was still breech until my u/s yesterday when I found out she had flipped.

Around 26 weeks I thought I could feel a round ball (which I thought was his bum) on my left and I got most of my strong movements on the right which made me think he was head down his legs were on the right. At 29 weeks, my midwife said she thought the same thing. At 30.5 wks I had an ultrasound because of some complications and it confirmed I was right! A few weeks later I had another ultrasound and he was still in that position and I can still feel him in that position.

I could kind of feel. I knew his head was down low my entire pregnancy so that helped a lot. My midwife would also tell me so that helped me figure out for myself. I knew he feet were up at my ribs. I could always feel his butt too, he'd pooch it out a lot and make a hard ball that you could see on the outside if my stomach. So funny

At my u/s yesterday I asked my midwife what position she thought the baby was in since I've had this tender spot for a few weeks and thought it was the bum.Turns out she thinks the same as me!

I'm pretty sure that she's mostly head-down and to my left and her feet keep ending up in my right rib cage! I could be wrong but that's how it feels.

I can't ever tell. Sometimes my stomach bulges HUGE and gets really hard in this one spot and I think "there is no way that could be anything other than her butt." Other than that, I have no idea. Every time I get an ultrasound they show me her position, but I still can't really tell when I feel movement.

After my 32 week u/s said she was head down, I could start to tell what was a butt moving side to side and kicks from the feet. Before that, I had no clue.
When she hiccups, I definitely feel it more down low, which is a strange sensation!

Around 30 weeks I would feel obvious kicks on my right side and a big bulge on my left which I figured was his butt. An ultrasound a couple weeks later confirmed it.
Spinning Babies has a good article on "belly mapping".

I can't tell at all! Kick, punch, wiggle... it all feels the same to me! I'm 28 weeks.

I could never tell. Only when the doctor told me that she turned, it was easier to guess.

I could never tell. I only knew she was head down because my OB told me, and she would stretch her legs out and tickle my ribs

I had a hard time telling with my first pregnancy, but this time I think I've been able to tell. I think I just know how newborns fold up now, so it's easier to figure out what's what. Also, now that she's been having hiccups, it's easier to tell what's going on where. My first was head down almost the entire pregnancy, and this one was breech forever! I could tell that I was getting kicked down low instead of up high. I could also tell when she'd flipped because I started getting kicks in the ribs.

I could only tell after my NP or Dr would do an exam and would say "that's her bum" or "that's a leg"

I can't tell yet, but I'm hoping I can tell where he/she is at. My cousin always tells me where her twins are, they are both breech so she's like here is girl butt and here is boy butt and what not!

I could tell where she was kicking and I always said I could tell where she was punching me but my husband insists there's no way I could feel her tiny little fists, especially since she wasn't very good at moving her arms fast at first. I donno what I was feeling, maybe she was burping or something.

She's always been head down for ultrasounds and appointments, but I can't for the life of me figure out how that's possible with the two huge bulges I get on either side of my stomach... I swear she has to be sideways then go in for my weekly and am proved wrong.

I can definitely tell, but my LSo makes it easy, he/she has stayed in the same spot forever!

I have no idea, was told on yesterday's ultrasound that baby was both breech and laying on its side (not sure exactly how that is possible except for it was moving an awful lot). I don't feel much movement yet (anterior placenta) but hope to start soon.
