Nope, I knew about mine. Was kinda hoping for just a little surprise sprinkle this time. No gifts, just a little celebration.

My family and close friends know I hate surprises so they would not try to spring one on me! I dictate when & where lol!

You already know my answer, but I was very in the know about mine. My mom involved me in the date, guest list, location, etc. Pretty much everything.

My work shower was a "surprise." However, they had done a similar thing in the past & one coworker asked me if I was going to be "around" on such-and-such date. So I kinda had a feeling. I would have been totally disappointed if it had turned out to be something else. Haha.

No. I'm a control freak so not a huge fan of surprise parties.

Yes, it was at work. They told me we had a meeting that day, which I had no reason to disbelieve. (Although I spent most of the day pissed that I had to go to a "meeting"!)

@lawbee11: HA Yes. I like to know when things are and why and how and who and all that.

I live out of town so my shower wasn't a surprise even though that seems to be the family tradition. My bridal shower was though and I knew it was going to be one of a few times/dates but nothing else. I only had one shower though and my mom, moh and mil coordinated addresses, guest lists and other details.

I actually had 3 showers o.O
One my best friend and mom threw together, and one my in-laws threw. I knew about both of those. Then my work threw me a surprise shower!

I didn't think about my work shower. That was a surprise. But my friends and family shower was not a surprise.

I was completely clueless. Didn't even know anybody was planning anything. So impressed with DH's secret-keeping!

I had two planned showers with my first, but my aunts threw a surprise, family-only shower for this LO while on a family reunion trip. It was couched as a girl's happy hour but was a surprise shower/sprinkle for me and my two cousins who are also expecting.

If you count my work one, than it was a surprise. But I figured it out beforehand. I'm sneaky like that.

My real one (like family and friends) was out of town so obviously I knew when since I had to get there.
For work I knew I would have one and had suspicions about the day, but I was still somewhat surprised. They also had thrown me a work bridal shower and that one I really was completely surprised for. It was awesome.
