Our 1st anniversary is in December...I'm having boudoir photos taken in a couple of weeks

That's nice! I was also wanting to stick with the paper theme to some extent.
And oohhh I wish I had time to do those kind of pictures but I'm also starting to get that big ol belly so maybe not lol

I made a little scrapbook with a reason every day for the first year why I loved him.

Our 1st anniversary is on Monday!!! How cool we are so close!!!
We went low budget this year, and I got him a really cool Weber grill accessory kit. He loves grilling so this was like a professional grade flipper, tongs, and something else. He loved it!

@MrsBrewer: Oh that's really nice!
I was wanting to do a sporting event or comedy club but of course nothing is going on around us lol

We went on vacation, that was our treat to each other. We skip gifts a lot, I know it's weird!

Not weird to not do gifts. I just know he's been working on something for me and I don't want to let him down with a sucky gift lol

@tororojo: We usually do too! We said no gifts but I made him the scrapbook. He drove 8 hours round trip (we got married 4 hours south) to get a new topper of our wedding cake since ours got ruined when our fridge died when we were out of town for the weekend. We aren't doing anything this year for each other.

we didn't exchange gifts......we did something a little more...intimate
I wore a sexy little black dress and had my hair done at the salon (freshly cut, blow dry..) and he brought home some really yummy food and we ate it on our patio with candles...
THEN-we had to go inside because the mosquitoes were killing us. But that's o.k---we finished our food at least
*oh and every year on our "engagement anniversary" because it's in mid-winter, we vacation somewhere warm....which is probably why we don't do a whole lot on our actually wedding anniversary.

I got him a print of our wedding vows. We have it hanging in the entry. We also went on vacation.

I got him a book since it was paper. Not very romantic.... but he loved it!

We went on a trip! We almost always either travel as gifts or do a joint gift - something big that we want/need. Our birthdays are 3 days apart so we even do this for birthdays!

Our one year is a week from Monday and I don't think we're exchanging gifts. We really don't do big gifts ever. We are going to dinner at the place where we got married so that's our big plans. Although, I'm thinking that considering I'm due about 3 weeks after our one year, that's gift enough.

we both stuck with the traditional paper, so i got him an illustration of one of our wedding photos from a local artist. he got me prints from etsy that we hung over our couch. both the presents are on display in our living room which i love! but i doubt either of us will be that creative for anniversary #2.

We had a baby 2 weeks before so we didn't do too much. I didn't get DH a gift and he picked me a bouquet of wildflowers from our yard.

Our two year is coming up. Sense we didn't write our own vows I'm planning on writing them this year. I better get started! 19 days and counting

I made a book of "coupons" such as massages, TV control for a night, doing dishes/making dinner etc
I also got him a tool set - a nice drill and a hammer he was needing one.
He got me a stereo... I think.. oh gosh I don't even remember hahaha

I got him a big portrait of us from our wedding - he had been nagging me to order for months...

@QBbride: Oh I saw that on Pinterest and thought of doing that too but his vision isn't good so the whole point would be kinda lost on him since it would be kinda small.
Totally a sweet idea!

Ours is in three weeks! I bought this and am filling it out:

It's really hard to come up with so much stuff, though!

We switch off doing the traditional gift! I started the tradition with paper. I got him tickets to Game 1 of the NLCS when his team (the Mets) was playing.

I made my husband a card and bought him a signed picture of Hank Aaron. It kind of fit with the paper theme and as a huge Braves fan, he loved it.
